ANA waitlist Datapoint

I meant to post this weeks ago but forgot. I was lucky enough to find two ANA J class seats last summer for this July. I have a family of four so I put them on the waitlist for two additional J class seats. I know these are notorious for not opening up but to my surprise my waitlisted seats were confirmed for both, 20 days before my flight. Unfortunately, I already booked a nonrefundable PY seat so I only redeemed one of the two.

Just figured I would give some hope to those on waitlist. It’s rare but does happen! My flight is from JFK-HND.

Advice

My power wasn’t working and Coned came to fix it. After they were done, there were sparks in the box and the worker said it was because one of the wires was not properly wrapped with tape so he rewrapped it and covered it with this rubber in the picture as extra protection that the wires won’t rub against the metal box. He’ll put another cover on as well. I am kind of scared now that it’s a temporary fix and the same thing might happen again. Does anyone have advice as to what I should do? I was originally told that coned will be able to install the wires in a bigger box to prevent the wires rubbing against the box but was told that is the customer’s responsibility.
