is this website of IH Izmir legit for CELTA?

hi everyone! i am looking to take a CELTA course and currently the most fitting timezone, course format and price for me is through IH Izmir's online full time CELTA. but when i search for it on cambridge center finder, it does not show up there. is this normal? is this website legit or should i only search for centers on the cambridge map?

neurodivergent teachers, what has your experience been like?

hi everyone!! i'm a non native speaker who is quite immersed in the english language and have a lot of real life speaking experience. clear pronunciation, i would like to think.

i am currently a game artist but the creative field gave me a huge burnout. teaching is something i've been interested in since childhood and tefl seems like a good choice for me so far. especially with how it can create opportunities for me to get out of my country. but i have recently been sort of diagnosed with audhd (can't obtain a legal diagnosis or treatment in my country due to restrictions) and it explains my life and behaviors. and this discovery has been kind of helping me filter through fields i wanna go to. but i would love to hear the experiences of actual autistic/nd teachers!

my mom is a teacher at a public school so i would never want to teach in one, it seems like a nightmare. but private schools and academies seem so much better, or even private tutoring if it comes to that.

for more background info and my goals: i'm from west asia (not much passport power sadly), i have a bachelor's in information-communication engineering, two diplomas, one from south korea. my plan is to obtain a celta certificate (i don't think a tefl would be enough for my goals with the passport i hold, though if anyone thinks tefl is a better choice for the first time please tell me about it), teach in my country for experience and funds and hopefully find a job abroad after maybe a year of experience.

need fluffy ish slowburn romance recs, specific details in post!

hi everyone! i haven't read romance in a while and need some after a series of heavier books and there is kind of a specific way i like romance, so i wanna see if i can find anything here :D

if i speak in tropes i guess it would be friends to lovers, but more specifically i like when the characters start a bit cold and then warm up to each other. having some stakes and drama is perfect, but the book itself being more feel good. i would love for it to be have nonbinary characters since i'm enby but that's not a requirement. latest romantic pairing i really enjoyed seeing develop was >!jesper and wylan!< in the six of crows series, so anything similar to that but more isolated to be romance would be lovely! if it helps with dynamics also, my fave fictional couple is wright and edgeworth from ace attorney :D i think what makes me love these couples is that the characters developed enough for me to care about them before any romance or hints of it started. but please do not suggest series cause i'm in the middle of a series rn (the raven cycle) 😔

also prefer literal young adult books (ages 20-30 but higher is also welcome), i tried to read YA romance (in deeper waters) and i just don't think it is for me! but i don't like reading spice, so i prefer for it to not be too explicit but if the book is great and has minimal spice i'll read it.

i know this post may be a bit specific but i am having a lot of trouble finding a good book from my searches 😭 also i know this is a queer book sub but if you even have a good healthy straight romance book to rec, that's welcome too. thanks in advance!!

tl;dr: feel good book with maybe some adventure ish storyline and fluff, minimal to no spice, would love if it includes an enby character, adult (preferably ages 20-30)

no access to gym for 2 months, limited equipment; what do?

(23f)

hi peeps!! i always overexplain in posts so i will just explain my situation as briefly as possible.

current state: in rural area for the next ~2 months, no access to gym. just want to make some progress before i return

fitness history: around a couple months of pilates, 6 visits to gym, fullbody each time

last time used weights in dumbbells: shoulders - 2kg, biceps - 3kg, triceps - 3kg, lower body exercises - 4kg (i never kept track of the machine weights cause most my time there was kept trying to figure things out)

available equipment: a pair of 5kg dumbbells, a barbell of a questionable weight, a 15kg resistance band, high up parallel bars (from around my shoulders), a VERY high pullup bar, and nature (trees and rocks :D)

what i was able to do with these today:

barbell - 3x5 deadlifts (i was able to do this much but it is quite heavy for sure)

dumbbells - 3x4 bicep curls, 2x8 overhead tricep extensions, 10 squats (simply cause i still have no idea how the hell to do squats)

resistance band - 3x10 upright rows

parallel bars - 3x10 incline pullups

should i keep going with these exercises and try to increase my reps each time? what can i add or remove? thanks for reading!!

going to a gym for the first time after lifelong anxiety and i have no idea how to approach this

hello!! i have avoided gyms my entire life because of my anxiety, insecurities and a history of eating disorders. i know that nobody there cares about me, still scary though. this year i bit the bullet and signed up for pilates and turned out that doing workouts that are not me at home doing HIIT from youtube are actually fun and engaging, but i feel like i want more than pilates so i wanna try weight training.

i kept trying to find alternatives to do it at home but i know that unless i am in a dedicated space, i will simply not do it. there is a gym near my work with a womens hall that is very reasonably priced and has a trainer. there is a day pass so i'm planning to get that for one day and see how it goes first but i genuinely have no idea what you do once you're there. do you approach the trainer and talk about your goals? do you make a plan on what exercises to do there? how do you even know what you do in gyms on the daily? i'd really appreciate a complete beginner gym survival guide, especially from women (but anyone's input is welcome) 😔😔 also i strongly hope the coach or the people there don't comment on my body

hello people!! after being a lifelong cheap earbuds user and finally being sick of them breaking all the time, i got these. i usually research any tech i get for at least a couple weeks but i was dying without my music and my friend strongly recommended these (i had tried hers on and they were quite comfortable) and i had seen the general opinions around these being good on the web. the two things i wanted was it being able to switch between bluetooth and aux for my ipod, and them being noise canceling, and this had them both. so i said screw it and just ordered these. and i have to say that i am not disappointed!!

i don't have much knowledge on the audio stuff so i can't really offer much commentary and i have only been using these for 3 days, but as an average music listener, these sound great, the noise canceling is AMAZING (holy moly this thing is magical!! the annoying traffic sounds are completely gone. and the ambient mode is godsend for when i'm crossing the road, plus the anc helped me focus on my work and hobbies a lot these past few days) and they are comfortable on the head. they do have a little bit of clamp right now, but my friend's pair didn't so i am assuming it will adjust overtime. and it does make it hard to wear different earrings, but eh, i guess i gotta sacrifice that sometimes.

when i have these on i literally don't want to take them off because of how enjoyable the music sounds! although i still haven't fiddled with the equalizer so if you have recommended settings please tell me :D

one issue i have with these is that when i plug them to my laptop via aux and turn them on, there is a buzzing sound on the right ear. this is not present when they are off, though, but that means no noise canceling.

anyways, i hope these last long and don't break easy, hahah.

hi everyone! i have gotten into making matcha lattes recently and i am sooo obsessed with strawberry matcha latte, and i treated myself to a 40g tin of nice quality vibrant matcha that foams SO WELL (image 2!!) and is very delicious. but unfortunately it is running out soon and i don't have the wallet to sustain the expensive matcha habit :D so i got this cheaper all purpose morihan matcha, which is not as vibrant as the expensive one but still delicious when prepared right. but it does not hold foam at all, whether i use the same technique as the expensive matcha, or even whisk for longer. is there a way to do it or should i just give my wrist a break and only whisk until it's combined? 😭
