We just bought our first house and are doing a small renovation to the bathroom. We want to paint the wall, took out the vanity, mirror and there was paper on the wall.
Now it looks like this, I know we need to patch the holes with joint compound, sand it then put prime on it. But what do we do to this area that was covered with wall paper? Do I put joint compound all over it ?

Please I need help, this is my first ever project for this house, I’m excited but stressed too 😭😭

Yesterday was our inspection of the house we want to buy, the main issue the home inspector found was the boiler (seller is getting the HVAC inspected soon). I know the home inspector doesn’t really know much about that system. But I took some pictures and it looks very very old and rusty. The house was build in 1980

We are very anxious about the HVAC results, whether or not the house would need a new boiler and IF the sellers are willing to give us credit for it :(

I don’t know anything about boilers, but I saw an estimate for a replacement is about 10k-15k

The waiting time is the hardest :((

Have you had any experiences buying a house and finding an issue with the boiler ???

Hello, I’d like to replace this metal stairs for a full wood spiral one. I don’t have so much space as you can see Trying to seek recommendations for the design, seems like my only option is only the spiral stairs type
