Hi all,

I’m a third year clinical cardiology fellow preparing my application for IC, but I’ve noticed several programs just not participating in the match this year. Does this mean they may have filled internally?

Also any tips on the application? I don’t know how much of the “experiences” should roll over from residency vs fellowship. It’s been a busy last two years in fellowship, tbh I haven’t been able to “get involved” in as many experiences as I did as a resident.

My husband’s long distance family (2 hour flight away) came to visit last week and I felt like every waking moment was about them. He drove 5 hours to pick them up, spent the weekend with them in a nearby city and then would go on excursions in the evening while I waited at home. I tried talking to him about it but he seems to be so consumed by taking every opportunity to entertain and prioritize them that he forgot to call, respond to my texts or even ask how I was doing.

Mind you, I’m also very pregnant, work two jobs and have been struggling with a recent high risk-diagnosis which has been very taxing on my emotional and physical health. His family is very nice and I don’t think any of this was intentional on their end. I felt as if me and our unborn child was on the back burner for the last week. Did I overreact?

Edit: it was also our 5 year wedding anniversary during the week they were here and he totally forgot. Kind of adding fuel to the fire for me I guess.
