(Please excuse Addy’s wig. She had a run in with some velcro and I’m still trying to figure out how to fix it!)

She’s so cute. So glad I went for it when she briefly came back.

I really want to make all the little fashions in her sketchbook for her. And a little SmarTrip card so she can ride the DC Metro with me.

Celebrating Kirsten’s birthday, Juneteenth, and Pride!

I splurged on Kirsten’s boots and I love them!

Addy’s Christmas dress is done! I may still add a sash but otherwise I’m very happy with it.

Next, I attempt the school suit.

I had lofty goals of finishing this dress today but I spent much too long doing and redoing the sleeves. It’s the Addy Christmas dress pattern and it’s kind of diabolically hard. But the top is done aside from buttons and bows and I will finish the skirt next time.

I mostly finished Addy’s nightgown, just need to iron and clean up. But she and Kirsten can finally have a real sleepover after all these years. (Kirsten’s nightgown sewn by my mom back in the 90s.)

I had to get Sari and Ida Bean out for the occasion.

This pattern is really hard! But I figured out the collar and that was the biggest issue so far.

After this I want to try to make her school and Christmas outfits. I’ve had Addy since the 90s but never filled out her collection much.

I was originally going to try to stay true to the actual fabrics AG used, but I already have Kirsten with a white nightgown so I thought I’d change things up.

I’m a few days late.

Both Kirsten and Addy now have gorgeous new wigs! And Zara’s got a new outfit!

I ordered both Devil Wears Prada dolls and was very surprised to open the box and find 2 Mirandas! One of them has the front and bottom of the Andy box. A fun find for mirandy shippers or anyone who collects quirky items like this!

Now to order an actual Andy doll!

I would really love to get rid of her bangs (or even get bangs that are a little less intense), but I’m worried she won’t look like Kirsten anymore. I’d love to see what others have done.

What are your thoughts on getting a pre-braided wig vs getting one with the hair down and doing it yourself? Any suggestions for identifying the right color?
