Hello all! So i just inherited a royal typewriter and replaced the ribbon. everything looks good about the machine but as you can see im getting a sort of “ghost” line of text above where the bars hit the ribbon. I thought the platen might have ink on it but ive cleaned it multiple times now with rubbing alcohol and the line is still appearing. any idea whats going wrong and how to fix? thank you in advance!!
anybody got any tips on how to slur between regular range and altissimo? I can play individual notes chromatically up to D above palm key D and can slur between altissimo notes but if i try to slur palm key E to altissimo G or A for example It just doesn't come out. My embouchure seems to be very different when in altissimo range and when i keep that same embouchure out of altissimo my notes are thin and crack. Im kind of at a loss as to what to do to connect the two ranges. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you in advance
