Focused vs unfocused practice

I often find myself watching sports and use that time to practice guitar (and workout/mobility training). While I think this is time well spent since I enjoy sports and I am still improving my physical health and guitar playing, I am wondering just how much more focused practice will improve my playing.

By that, I mean sitting for a solid half hour undisturbed and completely focused on my practice. I feel like I'm still getting some benefit from practicing while watching games (chord change practice, scales, etc), but just wonder how much more effective focused practice sessions are. I'm looking for input from others who may have tried both and noticed a difference in improvement.

Malwarebytes subscription cancelled by someone else

I have a Malwarebytes subscription that was paid for by my company and I manage the account for the employees. Today I received an email that the subscription had been cancelled. It is paid up for 2 more years. To ensure it wasn't phishing attempt, I logged into my Malwarebytes account on a different computer and it shows no active subscriptions. I did not click any links in the email.

I reached out to their support through their website. Support is online only, no phone number. I was told that someone with my last name but a different first name had reported that I passed away and the subscription should be cancelled. And they cancelled it. WTF?

I don't get the point of this. I can still login with a verification code on my legit email, so they haven't stolen my account. I told them I'm alive and well and need them to give me back my subscription. It's amazing that a company that is supposed to specialize in protecting me would fall for this crap with no verification required.

Can anyone tell me why a scammer would do this? How could it benefit them, unless they are trying to get the subscription switched over into their name?

Possible scammer trying to purchase equipment from me

I run a business that sells shipping containers. A guy emailed me asking for quotes. I provided quotes and he asked to purchase almost $30K worth of containers. He gave me the address they would need to be delivered to. I looked it up and it's a bank owned property on a small lot with a house on it. There's no way you can put more than one container on that property. When I mentioned this, he said they were going to stack the containers. Major code violation right there.

He said he would send me a check for payment and would accept delivery after the check cleared. I smell a scam. He uses his first and last name with a middle initial. He doesn't put dashes in his phone number. A call to that number goes to a full voice mail box. The number comes up as an apartment in Arizona. My business is in Florida.

Let's say he sent me a check and it cleared the bank and I delivered the order. Isn't there some other way he could claw that money back even after the check cleared? How does this scam work?

Curfew question

Billy has played Savannah GA 5 times and at each show he finished at 11:00 (with the exception of 11:15 one show). I assumed that was the venue curfew and I believe Billy takes every minute he can up to the curfew. Last night he said they were done and about to be thrown out at 11:00.

Phish played Savannah last night and played to 11:30.

So the question is, does a venue have a hard curfew, or does the band pay for a certain amount of time, and Phish paid for another half hour more than Billy?
