Massive Berkeley's polypores .. plan of attack?

These are on a 6*6 cedar post on the ground behind my shed. Thanks Google machine says to cut them off and put them on plastic bags and then trash. I know my post is toast. But it will be some time before I can deal with getting it out of the yard. Once I do get rid of it, will these monsters come back? They're over a foot each. And next to a tree with a different kind of fungus, and that tree will be cut down in a week. I have 2 dogs and need to get this out of here in case the gat back there (it's fenced off). Thanks for any personal information or experience.

Another Rabies Shot question I keep reading different things.

My dog's vet said she needed a 1 year vac and then she can get the 3 year. I called a different vet looking for the Thermal free vac as my vet did not offer it. So that is where I went and they said I could do a 3 year.

Her history:

At 5 months 2 weeks, she got Rabies 1 Year on May 22,2025

And then I took her to a vet that had the 3yr Imrab Bi and she got vaccinated there on 05/18/2026 for 3 years

4 days before her vac was due

Is she not legal now? =--= I just found this.

So here is the law where I am. ***County Vaccination Schedule

  • Puppies (4 Months): Must receive their initial rabies shot by 16 weeks of age.
  • First Booster (1 Year Later): A second shot is strictly required 12 months after the initial vaccine.
  • Adult Dogs (Every 1 to 3 Years): Subsequent boosters are required at 1-year or 3-year intervals, depending entirely on the specific brand of vaccine your veterinarian uses.
