I have a 2013 F31 and one thing that’s been bothering me lately is the wind noise at highway speeds.

Around 130 km/h (80 mph) it becomes uncomfortably loud. You can still talk with a passenger, but you definitely need to raise your voice a bit, and listening to music quietly is basically impossible because the wind noise drowns out a lot of it.

I’m running Hankook Kinergy 4S2 tires, which I know aren’t the most premium or quietest tires out there, but I still feel like the cabin noise shouldn’t be this bad.

I know the fact that it’s an estate/wagon makes it naturally a bit louder, but I’ve had estates before and this is honestly one of the worst in its class that I’ve experienced in terms of wind noise.

Has anyone here managed to noticeably reduce wind noise in their F30/F31? Any common problem areas, fixes, insulation mods, seal replacements, etc. that actually helped?

I don’t have Tourette’s myself, I’m just curious about the extent/variety of tics.

Can tics ever involve interacting with social media or sending things to people impulsively?

For example, imagine seeing a really disturbing or immoral post (antisemitic stuff, child abuse related content, sexual assault topics, etc.) and then suddenly feeling an urge/tic to share it, repost it, or send it to a random person — not because you agree with it at all, but almost like a compulsive tic-like action.

I know Tourette’s can involve complex tics, coprolalia/copropraxia, intrusive urges, etc., so I’m wondering whether something like this can happen too, especially in digital/social media contexts.

Would this still fall under tics, or would it sound more like OCD/impulse-control related behavior?

I’m not trying to be offensive or make assumptions — just genuinely curious and trying to understand better. If anyone has any insight or personal experience with this kind of thing, I’d appreciate hearing about it.

Starting with a bit of reasoning, so the question doesn't seem like fearmongering or etc.

From the outside, Trump’s attitude toward conflict, executive authority, “national emergencies,” and personal loyalty feels way more aggressive and casual than what most democracies would consider normal.

And honestly, it doesn’t seem that hard to imagine a scenario where he escalates some conflict - maybe involving cartels or a smaller South American country - declares expanded emergency powers, and then argues that changing leadership during a crisis would be “too dangerous.”

People immediately dismiss this as paranoia, but historically this exact pattern has happened in a lot of countries:

• Hitler used the Reichstag fire and emergency decrees to massively expand executive power

• Putin used wars/security threats to centralize authority and weaken opposition

• Erdoğan used the 2016 coup attempt to justify mass purges and constitutional expansion of presidential powers

• countless dictatorships in Latin America framed extraordinary powers as “temporary national security measures”

The pattern is usually:

1: escalate or manufacture a threat

2: frame critics as disloyal

3: expand executive power during the crisis

4: normalize exceptional measures

5: argue stability matters more than normal democratic process

So my actual question is: What specifically in the U.S. system would stop a president from trying this if enough of the public supported it?

Because Americans seem way less alarmed by this possibility than people in many other countries would are.

Mõtlen just sellist varianti, kus grupp inimesi toetab otse mõnda väiksemat talu ja vastu saab hooajaliselt päris toitu. Veiseliha, lambaliha, mune, köögivilju, võib-olla piimatooteid jne. Mitte kana/siga masstoodangust, vaid reaalselt "farm-to-table" kraam.

Ehk siis: talunik saab ette prognoositava raha ja kindluse, et toodang läheb ära, inimesed saavad päris toitu otse tootjalt, ja vahelt jääb ära see “giga farm - 20 vahendajat nimega Dima - Rimi” ahel. Saan aru, et see ei saa olla stabiilne toodang, vaid tuleb korra aastas. Mind ennast põhiliselt huvitaks see liha pool ja seda saab rahus sügavkülmas säilitada.

Kas keegi siin teab:

kas midagi sellist maailmas juba eksisteerib? kui palju inimesi peaks ühe talu ümber olema, et see talunikule päriselt kindlust annaks? kas talunikud üldse tahaksid sellist mudelit või tekitaks see pigem lisastressi/logistikat? ja kas inimesed oleks valmis maksma ette/võtma hooajalist riski?

Mulle tundub, et eriti lihaga võiks see isegi toimida, sest kvaliteet on täiesti teine maailm võrreldes poeketiga.
