Just started and I'm curious on some things

Just started Bravely Default HD. I have vague memories of trying to play it on my 3ds back in the day but due to life stuff didn't have time to actually play it.

Anyways I'm having a lot of fun, there are a lot of mechanics that are interesting but I have a question about save/heal guy in dungeons. Does he have lore? I get the purpose he serves but it's uncanny that he happens to be in every dungeon before us before every big event. I'm currently speculating that he's "D" or connected to Ringabels Journal. I know that these questions can get kind of spoilery so if there's a big reveal I don't mind having these questions unanswered until they happen.

Also are there any ultimate weapons locked behind the "hidden" items mechanic? Early on in the game you get the tutorial quests to find hidden passages in the keep and hidden items in the inn. Like the seitengrat from ffxii? Is there anything important hidden behind things like this or are they mostly fun extras you get awarded?

Thanks again and is the Octopath series a good place to go after completing this?

What are people doing for VPX's?[Discussion]

I've run Lighthouse a few times and I'm trying the Peacekeeper G28 Sacrifice because I've read people have gotten VPX's from it but I'm having no luck.

Anyone know of 100% spawns or any recommendations for VPX? Thanks for your help!

How to activate codes with a steam account?

Weird question and since none of the answers on the Wargaming site or google seem to be correct I'm reaching out here.

I'm trying to activate the nvidia code but there's no where to activate it online since I creating my wargaming account through steam and there doesn't seem to be a place to activate it in game.

Anyone had any luck or know of a work around? Thanks for the help.

Mid Year Update

Did the mid year update launch? The app on PC still shows the old CYN and I'm able to build my command deck.

I tried to manually check for an update but it's saying my app is up to date. Just wanted to check if I'm missing something.

Thanks!

ETA: Did confirm, PC app still doesn't have an update. My phone app works fine.

[Bug] I might do better not seeing the gym mini game...

It's pretty dumb but I feel like I fail and miss more (at least broke my arm more) when I could see the prompt.

I've only recently gotten into wargaming but I come from a background of lots of competitive types of games. Counterstrike, fighting games, MOBAs etc.

My question is in those games there are easy ways to randomly matchmake or even have singleplayer game modes to learn, practice and train.

Is there an equivalent for Warmachine? I know for battletech there is MegaMek that lets you play against a computer. But I'm trying to build my foundational knowledge of the game, it's rules, and what my army does. I suppose I could play against myself on wartable but I'd prefer to have something I could scale it's difficulty or for a way to catch mistakes when I misread some rules or an easy way to concede and replay interactions. Like labbing in practice mode for a fighting game.

Thanks for the help. I understand tabletop games are different but I feel like this style of learning is most beneficial for me.
