My mom is old and started selling on vinted last month. I turned off speedx shipping when she started her account because the location close to us is sketchy af and I don't want her going there alone. She just asked me to look at a message she got and it was this. Seriously?? Are they that desperate??? I turned it off immediately, but I shouldn't have had to because I already turned it off not even a month ago

September 4th: Buyer purchases a small keychain. I package it in a small plain bubble mailer. The package size/weight is correct. Buyer selects FedEx, and so I ship with FedEx. I use the provided Vinted shipping label
September 9th: I receive a "Delivery attempt failed" notif from Vinted. Buyer messages me and says FedEx is holding the package for $7.80. They say "postage circled with $7.80" I have no idea why, I didn't ship it any differently from how I ship my other FedEx orders, which have all been delivered fine. I instruct Buyer to go to the pickup point and ask why they're being charged so I can file an issue with Vinted
September 10th: Buyer says they are going to the pickup point today. No word since. FedEx tracking says it is still being held
It's been 20 days and nothing. Buyer left me on read.
It was not an expensive keychain so I don't mind taking the L, but I'm really confused.
Has this happened to anyone else before? What's up with the $7.80 charge from FedEx?? And if the package hasn't been collected, when will it be mailed back to me? I tried looking on the FedEx website but it was unhelpful. Did the buyer pick up the package and it just never went through the system?
Maybe I'm being scammed, but it was a $1 order and the item was not worth much more than that. Anyway, I'm just curious. Thank you!
Hi all, just started on vinted (US) last month and I'm still figuring out how it works. Yesterday I went to print a shipping label and saw it was from FedEx and not USPS. At the bottom of the label there was another prepaid shipping address for USPS. I don't live anywhere near a FedEx store, it was the end of the day and I had other packages to mail so I brought it to the USPS post office and hoped that they would be able to use the bottom address.
Since then however, it hasn't been tracking, and all the other packages I've mailed have.
Should I be worried? What will happen to it, will they mail it back to me? I couldn't find any answers online and Vinted has been unhelpful. Thank you
