Need some opinions about if a BDA is too brutal
TW= Mentions of severe 3rd degree burn scars!!!
So in the fangan I am currently busy writing, the first blackened slices the first victim's throat, killing them. After trying and failing to drag them away into the bushes to hide the corpse, the blackened decides to try and destroy the corpse using kerosine. In my research, I discovered that kerosine *cannot* fully destroy a human body, but can burn away fat, some tissue and of course, clothes.
The blackened doesn't know this though, so I am planning on them pouring the kerosine all over the dead victims' back, then lighting it before leaving to clean their weapon and their clothes. This would effectively leave the body with 3rd degree burns/deep tissue burns all over their back.
In my draft have written right up until the class discovers the body, but I am now hesitating if this case is too brutal/gore-y for the very first case, or if I should tone it down and have the blackened use a different way for them to try and get rid of the evidence.
So what do you all think? Is it fine to have as a first death, or should I tone it down?
