I noticed last night that my eight year old is Simpsons yellow next to my arm. I won’t be able to get her an appointment with the doctor until Monday. I have cirrhosis level symptoms frequently from fatty liver with no determined cause but several factors like lupus, sjogrens, eating tons of cinnamon since childhood, and of course alcohol. I am kind of freaking about her right now that maybe it’s something genetic? Does anyone know what I should ask about?

So, my kid is only eight. I teach her all kinds of skills (check my posts if you need,) but I see no reason for a phone even with her grandmother overseas. Yesterday she told me that a school project thing involved apps on their phones, so she had to go up and tell the teacher she doesn't have one. The teacher said to use whatever she remembered of apps. Am I strange to not give an eight year old a phone? The school is actually pretty old school with chalkboard, overhead projector, and cursive so it was a surprise to hear they were doing phone apps as a thing.
