What SNSD era is your favorite?

I’ve been going back through old SNSD songs and performances lately, and I honestly can’t decide which era I love the most.

I LOVE the genie and run devil run era but also flower power, bad girl, galaxy supernova...like, there are just too many good ones 😭

What’s your favorite SNSD era?

What are your favorite Korean fragrances?

I’ve been getting more curious about K-fragrance lately and feel like there are so many Korean perfume brands I’ve never heard of.

I usually gravitate toward clean, fresh or slightly woody scents, but I’m open to anything that smells really good and isn’t too overpowering.

What Korean fragrances do you keep reaching for? Would love some recommendations, especially if it’s something you think deserves more hype.

Who actually needs to double cleanse?

Double cleansing is recommended everywhere in K-beauty (oil cleanser first, then a water-based cleanser), but I’m a bit confused about who it’s actually meant for.

Is it something everyone should be doing daily, or is it more specific to certain people? Like does it mainly apply to people who wear makeup or heavy sunscreen, or is it still useful even if you have a very simple routine and just cleanse once a day?

Also, if you do double cleanse, what’s the actual “correct” combo, should it always be an oil-based cleanser first and then a foam cleanser after, or can it be something more gentle / water-based instead?

I’m trying to figure out if this is an essential step I should add, or if it’s only necessary in certain cases.

Any underrated K-beauty “hidden gems” that aren’t the usual viral products?

I feel like whenever I look into K-beauty skincare, I keep seeing the same products over and over again everywhere online.

But I’m curious about the stuff that doesn’t really go viral or get talked about much, the products people quietly keep repurchasing because they actually work.

If you’ve been into Korean skincare for a while, are there any underrated products or lesser-known brands that you genuinely think are worth trying?

Would love to hear what people consider their “hidden gems” that most beginners probably miss.

Is the West too obsessed with tanning, or is Korea too obsessed with avoiding it?

I've always found it interesting how opposite the beauty standards are.

In the West, a tan is usually seen as attractive and healthy-looking. In Korea, a lot of people do everything possible to avoid getting darker.

The thing is, excessive tanning obviously isn't great for your skin. But at the same time, humans need some sunlight for vitamin D, and getting outside regularly seems important for mental health too.

So sometimes I wonder if both sides have a point, and the real problem is just taking either extreme too far.

What do you think? Is one approach actually healthier, or is this mostly a beauty standard thing rather than a health thing?

What’s your favorite SNSD song cover?

So many K-pop groups have covered SNSD songs over the years, and some of them honestly did such a good job.

My personal favorite is the itnw cover by twice, red velvet, gfriend, and i.o.i maybe it’s bc I also love all of those groups, but seeing them perform one of my favorite SNSD songs was such a treat 😭

Which SNSD cover do you think was the best? 👀

San absolutely stole the show at the Man City vs Atleti friendly in Seoul 😭⚽

So San showed up for the ceremonial kickoff at the coupang play series match in seoul and really decided to do the bad chest pop in the middle of a football stadium...

The whole thing is kind of hilarious because that move has already gone viral in the K-pop world, and now it’s somehow made its way onto a football pitch.

It was also the same night as Lee Kang-in’s first appearance for Atlético on home soil, so you basically had two completely different fandoms colliding in one stadium.

I’ve seen atinys loving it, while some football fans (and even some K-pop fans) thought the dance was a little out of place for a match kickoff.

I personally loved it but what did you guys think of San doing the BAD dance at the kickoff?

Jeongyeon officially leaves JYP after 11 years 😭

Jeongyeon has officially left jyp after 11 years and signed with VARO Entertainment, but she’s staying with twice 🥹

She shared a handwritten letter saying that the support from the members and once gave her the courage to start this new chapter. She also made it clear that twice will always be a huge part of her life.

She’s the first twice member to leave jyp since their debut in 2015. It’s definitely the end of an era, but I’m really happy she gets to start this new chapter on her own terms.

What do you guys think about her move to varo?

aespa’s Lollapalooza performance was so good

I just watched aespa’s lollapalooza performance and I honestly loved it.

I loved how much fun they seemed to be having on stage and I loved how good all four members sounded live. Their vocals, energy, and confidence really stood out, and hearing them perform those songs in front of such a big crowd made the whole set feel even more special.

Overall, I think aespa really suited this kind of stage and it was just such a fun performance to watch. What did everyone think of their set?

YEONJUN takes over Central Park for his GMA Summer Concert Series performance 😭

Hundreds of moas gathered at central park before sunrise this morning to support Yeonjun for his first solo appearance at gma’s summer concert Series.

Seeing the crowd energy this early in the day was honestly wild. It’s also pretty cool seeing a k-pop artist get this kind of reception in New York for a solo performance.

What did everyone think of his performance? Do you think we’ll see more K-pop soloists getting bigger opportunities on U.S. morning shows?

Is Olive Young's Free Skin Analysis Worth It?

Has anyone here tried Olive Young's free in-store skin analysis and consultation?

If you've done it, did you find it useful? Did it actually tell you anything new about your skin, or was it mostly just a way to recommend products?

I'm curious whether it's worth trying before buying new skincare, so I'd love to hear about your experience!

Happy 19th Anniversary to SNSD and everyone who celebrates! 🩷

I know I'm a day late, but I still wanted to say happy 19th anniversary to SNSD! 🩷

Nineteen years since they debuted is honestly insane to me. Whether you've been here since Into the New World or became a fan years later, it's amazing to see the impact they've had on K-pop and how relevant they still are today.

I honestly don't think there will ever be another group quite like SNSD. Even if someone isn't a fan, I feel like almost everyone knows who they are and can recognize the impact they've had, and continue to have, on the industry.

What’s your favorite SNSD song, era, performance, or memory? I’d love to hear everyone’s favorites and celebrate with fellow SONEs, even if it’s a day late 🎉

Red Velvet is back with their new mini album “Velvet Summer”, what are your thoughts?

Red Velvet has finally returned with their new summer mini album “Velvet Summer”, and I’m curious to hear everyone’s opinions.

Red Velvet has always had such a unique identity in K-pop and they always made the best summer songs. They can go from bright, fun concepts to more elegant and mysterious ones, and somehow they always make their own style work.

With this comeback, I’m curious how everyone feels about the concept, the songs, and the overall direction of the album.

Does it feel like a classic Red Velvet era to you, or were you expecting something different?

What are your favorite tracks from this mini album so far? 🍉

Who was your first K-pop crush, and is it still the same person?

I was wondering who everyone's first k-pop crush was and whether they're still your favorite today.

For me, my first k-pop crush was taeyeon from girls' generation, and she is still my favorite. Like, I definitely liked other idols too over the years, but as I got older I realized I kept coming back to her. Now I would say she's not just my first crush but also my favorite singer.

I'm curious about everyone else, who was your first k-pop crush? Did you stay loyal to your first favorite, or did your taste completely change as you discovered more groups and idols?

Did your “type” change over time, or did your first favorite set the standard? 🫪

It's 2026 and I'm still not over SNSD's Japanese discography.

Every few months I go back and listen to snsd’s Japanese discography again, and it is still so GOOD.

The girls' & peace and love & peace albums are honestly almost no-skip albums for me. Karma butterfly, galaxy supernova, bad girl, flower power, lips... these songs still hit different even after all these years.

I also love how much effort they put into creating a different identity for their Japanese releases. It wasn't just Korean songs translated into Japanese, they had their own sound, concepts, styling, choreography, and some of their best b-sides.

What's your favorite Japanese SNSD song? And if you had to choose, would you pick their Korean or Japanese discography overall?

They were always joking about debuting as HyoriSo but they’re actually doing it 😭

I swear every time HyoriSo came up, it felt like one of those jokes that would never actually happen. They kept teasing about debuting together, but I never thought we’d actually see it become real lol.

Now they’re actually debuting as an SNSD subunit and I’m honestly so excited to see what they’ll do. I’ve always loved SNSD like they’re not only incredibly talented but also so funny and have such great chemistry together 😫 I feel like this unit is going to be chaotic in the best way.

Did anyone else think this was just a running joke, or did you secretly hope they’d actually make it happen?

Finally getting a Red Velvet comeback and it’s a summer comeback ✨✨

Finally, we’re getting a Red Velvet comeback!! And not just any comeback, but a Red Velvet summer comeback.

Their summer releases always have such a special feeling, and I feel like nobody does that dreamy, refreshing, slightly quirky summer vibe quite like them. I’m so excited to see what kind of sound and concept they’re going for with Velvet Summer because the title alone already feels so fitting for them.

Red Velvet always hits different and I can’t wait to listen to it 😭

Jennie’s Less than a lover is such a different vibe from what I expected

I’ve been desperately looking for more summer vibe songs lately, and Jennie’s new song honestly came at the perfect time. The whole track just feels so warm, dreamy, and easy to listen to, it gives me that late summer evening feeling.

I also really like that it feels pretty different from her previous releases. I was expecting something closer to her usual confident/pop-heavy style, but this feels softer and more relaxed. It’s nice seeing a different side of her and I think this kind of vibe suits her really well.

Curious what everyone else thinks, do you prefer this softer Jennie style, or do you miss the more powerful mantra type of sound?

What is the coolest convenience store location in Seoul?

I am looking to check out the biggest or most unique convenience store location in Seoul for content purposes! Does anyone know of the coolest or most unique locations (any branch CU, 7 Eleven, GS25 works), that coincidently also isn’t that packed?

I know of the Yeouido Han Gang location as well as the 24 hour Ramyun library in Hongdae but wondered if there were any locations that were bigger or had multiple floors?
