Raccoon - Heat stroke/Exhaustion?

Raccoon - Heat stroke/Exhaustion?

Just saw this raccoon while taking my dog outaide. It's panting heavily, was surrounded by flies and bees, and didn't respond at all as I got closer, or when I caged it (I know, very dumb and reckless of me, especially with a raccoon of all things. I'm fully aware of the risk I took, but will not be handling it any further, just wanted to get it out of the direct sunlight). Other than the heavy breathing, it's not making any noise, and is barely alert, just twitching and swiveling its ears in response to stimuli. Certainly alive, but not doing well by any means. I've already reached out to a local rehab resource and left a message, but wanted to post here to see if there are any other resources in my area that y'all might know about so I can get help for it sooner rather than later. There's not much I can do without taking further risks against myself, obviously.

I'm in Monroe County, NY, USA, near Rochester.

Is this music AI?? Appears to use AI generated images for album "art," now I'm doubting the music itself.

Recently discovered this song and fell in love with it, but after looking into their channel, it looks like they use AI gen images for their album "art" and while that's already rubbing me the wrong way, I'm now wondering if the music itself is AI generated or at least partially generated. I'm terrible at distinguishing AI generated videos and audio as opposed to images so I wanted to get additional opinions? I don't want to continue supporting them with my views/listens if it's AI :(

Help keep my senior dog in the family / keep us from going homeless

https://gofund.me/4492be07a

Anything helps towards a down payment or deposit. We have until July 1st to find a new place to live or I will either have to rehome my senior dog or euthanize him due to behavior issues. He's a wonderful dog with his family, but we don't believe he would be a good candidate for rehoming, especially at his age, and he's been with me the full 9 years of his life. Please help us secure a new home.

Our 9 y/o boy recently nipped someone (was my fault, not his at all, and he's not an aggressive dog). But our apartment complex has ordered his permanent removal as a result, because he's been deemed a "nuisance." Full 9 years I've had him and he's never hurt anyone, lived at this place specifically for 3 years with no incident, except my neighbors have always had it out for him, claiming he's "vicious" and "uncontrollable." Because he barks.

Neighbor's daughter's boyfriend is the one who got nipped. Only he and the dog were present (my door did not latch all the way after we had come in, and I was in my bedroom at the time. Again, my fault for not securing the door effectively, I take full responsibility for that, but I responded immediately as soon as I heard noise from the shared entryway). Lafayette (our Pyr) backed off as soon as I was present and returned to our apartment with no fuss. Paramedics and police were very relaxed about the whole situation, as was animal control, and animal control has since closed Lafayette's case.

But the complex still demands for his removal. My boyfriend and I have reached out to an animal rights attorney to challenge this decision, because my door has since been fixed (asked the complex about it multiple times before this) and we're taking extra measures to ensure he stays properly contained. We always did before as well, save for this one incident, unfortunately. He's 9 years old and we don't know how much more time he has on this earth. He's still healthy and acting fine, but the overall point is that we recognize rehoming him at his older age and separating him from the only family/flock he's ever known is just not gonna be good for him, especially because of how wary he is of strangers. We have no family or friends that can take him. We've been trying to find a temporary home for him with someone who has experience with his breed and knows how to navigate his wariness with confidence and patience. We just need to find somewhere for him to go until we know the results of our case to keep him, or until we can move into a new apartment, whichever comes first.

We live in western NY, USA, near Rochester, and would like to keep him nearby in case anything unexpected happens. We've been in touch with a few people and are meeting with possible fosters tomorrow, but I wanted to make a post here too to see if anyone here has any advice, resources, or can possibly foster him if this avenue falls through.

Also, if anyone in the area has recommendations for animal rights attorneys as well then that would be wonderful because we haven't heard back from the one that had been recommended to us after reaching out multiple times.

Some additional details:

-Victim does not live here.

-No charges or fines were filed/issued.

-The only two witnesses were the victim and the dog, so nobody else actually knows what happened/if Lafayette was instigated somehow, or if the encounter was unprovoked.

-Victim went on to claim online that Lafayette has attacked multiple other people in the past, which isn't true, and makes me wonder what else he's potentially lying about.

-I have not seen the injury, but my boyfriend has and has said it looks like there are just pressure marks/bruising where Laf's teeth met skin, but that the skin does NOT look like it was broken, which is why I've been calling it a nip. Based on the attitude of the police and paramedics immediately following the incident, I'm inclined to believe that the injury was indeed just a nip, though I also know people are trained to remain calm in those jobs. (An example though is that the paramedics weren't even particularly concerned about the victim going for treatment except to get a precautionary rabies shot while they waited for confirmation about Laf's vaccine records. But they said a simple rinse/wash of the site would've been sufficient treatment otherwise).

I know theres more to say, but I've been explaining it so many times that I'm surely overlooking some details out of exhaustion. I'm open to any questions and can provide more details if necessary.

He's just an old dog with no bite history before this, and demanding he be rehomed for one minor incident seems so abrupt and cruel. I understand the precaution, and I'm trying to be civil and as unbiased as possible, but it's just been hard.

Hoping folks who are also familiar with the breed can lend me some advice or support or even dissenting opinions.

He's a wonderful dog and nothing but sweet to his friends and family. What happened was my fault more than anything and him being punished for it just doesn't seem right. I dunno. We just love this boy so much and ultimately want to do what's best for him.

Thanks in advance y'all.
