My friend V. is a bit of a pick me girl, she's not full on i hate girl and girly stuff, she mostly just mocks most stereotypical "girly" activities and behaviours.

For example i'm a girl who loves reading, watching rom-coms, shopping and going to caffes. She on the other hand is sporty, likes Marvel/action movies and doesnt wear make-up almost at all.

Sounds like every guys dream huh?

But she also likes getting dressed up and clothes and accesories just like i do.

Since becoming friends she takes care of her hair more and even puts on lipgloss (she saw me using it and asked where i get it ) now she uses it 24/7.

Most of her feeling superior because she isnt like other girls comes from her mum ( a narcisistic, many times divorced mum )

Now that we understand who V is, the problem i'm facing is that she doesnt understand why i won't go swiming with her,

yes swiming...

I fucking hate it cuz i don't like getting my hair wet, getting water in my ears and nose and because i can't wear my make-up in the water.

I'll admit it i'm insecure without my make-up. But she just doesnt get all this and mocks me, not outright just sneers and makes remarkes like "you'll have it difficut with boyfriend".

I get mad but then again i know she's just projecting what her bitch of mum put in her head. What can i do???
