What happens to their avoidance when they decide to date a close friend? Does it not show up since they get along so well?

Caught my ex from 2 years ago quickly unblocking then blocking me on IG while having a bf for 6 months. Why would she do that?
Small context : she broke up with me almost 2 years ago, blindsided me and immediately blocked me everywhere to « heal and move on ». I never heard from her again despite me doing everything I could for months after the breakup.
She’s now been in a relationship for 6 months apparently with her guy « best friend » (him being the main reason she broke up with me bc I had to put some boundaries regarding their friendship).
So 10 days ago I saw that she quickly unblocked me and blocked me right back. Why would she do that?
I know I shouldn’t worry about it too much but it kind of messes with me as I started to genuinely move on.

How many of you were friends (or best friends) with their ex before getting in a relationship with them?
I really thought that the history of friendship before would make the romantic relationship « perfect » and sustainable long-term but how wrong I was. Funny thing is people warned me that friends to lovers is often times difficult.
