Patrick Graham quote question

Hello!

I wanna start off by saying that I really like Patrick Graham's demeanor and he seems like a fantastic coach, so I do not want my question to make it sound like that's not how i feel.

Here is a quote from his press conference:

"I think the benefit of being here with the Steelers is that there's a clear standard in terms of what the people of the city and the town and what the Rooney what they expect. You know, I know we made mention to it, you know, the steel curtain. I mentioned this before, like we there's no need for any gimmicks for me as a coordinator to come up with any gimmicks for what we got to do. Like, let's win this one for that or do I don't have to make up any BS about that. I mean, the people in this town and just having time to be around the town and meet the people, it's clear."

(quote just pulled straight from Youtube transcript)

What does this mean? Like, is he saying he had to coach to gimmicks in Vegas? Who is using gimmicks? And he also brings this up while in the same breath saying that there's a Steel Curtain identity. is "being the Steel Curtain" a gimmick?

idk, once again, i really really like Patrick Graham, but this quote from the press conference really confused me. What is he referencing?

Second Hand Rosemount Equipment

Hello,

I come from a controls programming background but am in a new role where I have to learn more process and instrumentation.

I have been tasked with finding a meter to measure potable water into the site, and have been nudged toward trying to find one similar to a rosemount magmeter that we already have on site (measuring dirty water leaving site), in order to consolidate how many different types of spares we need to have around. I have also been nudged toward doing so second hand because it's hard to justify the price of the new instrumentation for what my manager wants out of this.

That particular one i have been asked to find a match to is a Rosemount 8705TSA040S1M0.

Do you have any tips or tricks on ways to find this particular model out there in the wild for cheap somewhere?

What parts of this part number are and are not meaningful for a 4 inch city water line of non-high pressure and ambient temp? does the "TSA" particularly matter here? the S1M0? I think the "1" is important due to the fact that that line is rated for 150 PSI. Is anything else here overkill? The "T" seems to mean Teflon which to me, someone new to this, sounds like overkill for water, but what do i know?

Ie, other than the line size encoded in the 040 spot in the model number, which of these codes can i "skimp" on in my filtering to find one that is totally fine for 4 inch moderate pressure low temperature water?

Or is this a "you'll just have to bite the bullet and pay full price for new from your rosemount rep because that is discontinued and rare" situation.

Thanks!

Inexpensive decent flow meters

Hello, coming from a background of doing more programming, but in a new role where I need to know a little more about selecting instrumentation.

I have a 4 inch water line coming into the facility that I'd like to measure the flow of. I got one quote from one of the big corporations / cadilllac options that resulted in a $11,000 DP meter. I do not think we need to spend this much.

We do not need the world's best precision, as the endgame here is more about comparing it against its own baseline - ie, general "clearly the last few weeks have used more water than what our baseline is. There's an issue somewhere" use, as opposed to "we need to know that we used precisely 2,342,294,873.4 gallons last month".

I've done some googling around, but what's a decent-enough flow meter you've used for a similar application? Talking about a max 300-400 gpm flow.

I'm kind of drawn to the Keyence clamp-on solution. Any experience with these?

Preferably there'll be a 4-20 mA output to the control system, but I could make a pulse output work.

Also, just an aside, how did you learn how to hunt down the right instrumentation for your application?

Dynasty / Keeper team vibe check

Hey Everyone, hopefully this is a decent spot to post my team and get a quick outsider's look and opinion.

In a league where we keep 10 players year to year. half ppr, 1 QB.

Ended with the 1.3. Got 1.11 and 1.12 in trades last year and then traded them for 1.4.

Roster:

QB: Maye,..... Dart

RB: Pollard, Hubbard, Tuten, Brooks,..... Sampson, Bigsby, Braelon

WR: Jefferson, Watson, Evans,...... Adonai, TeSlaa, TreHarris

TE: McBride, Kraft

I'm thinking my 10 keeps will be Maye, Pollard, Hubbard, Tuten, Brooks, Jefferson, Watson, Evans, McBride, Kraft. (i denoted the "keeper line" with the ellipses above)

I'm thinking my most likely 1.3 and 1.4 will be Tyson and Lemon. Open to be moved off of Lemon and on to Price/Concepcion.

obviously a little scant on studly RB's but what's the vibe here? am i dumb for even trying to win? or maybe a sneak-into-playoffs vibe?

What's the next move? deal McBride or Kraft for the best RB i can find?
