Stump Neuroma Revision Surgery- 3 week update

Stump Nueroma Surgery-3 week update.

I am currently 3 weeks post op from my stump neuroma revision surgery in the bottom of my foot. Since Saturday I have able to walk with a walking book. It does get sore after a few hours and I need to get it elevated. Averaving about 3500 steps a day the last 5 days. Tomorrow I am suppose to start walking with a shoe and crutches and hope to be able to walk with just a stiff shoe in a week.

My pain isn’t too bad right now. My largest discomfort is from the numbness near my cut and my toe. It’s getting better as time goes on but I know some will stay with me. It’s worse at night while I’m trying to sleep. I have no or minimal pain while in the boot currently.

Dr. Did injected stem cells during my surgery and I am now on a peptide stack for 2 weeks so far. My Dr also buried the nerve into my muscle to prevent another stump neuroma.

Stump Nueroma Surgery-2 week update.

I am currently 13 days post op from my stump neuroma revision surgery in the bottom of my foot. Got my stitches this morning. The nerve pain I had been having the last week has gotten 95% better the past 3 days. I am not able to start putting some weight on my foot while wearing a boot and using crutches. Next week the plan is to walk with a normal shoe and crutches. Dr. Expects me to be able to go on long walks 1 month from today and back to full activity in 2-2.5 months from today.

Dr. Did injected stem cells during my surgery and I am now on a peptide stack for 8 days so far.

Currently feel pretty encouraged on my recovery and it feels nice to be able to put some weight on my foot. Still have some normal incension pain/soreness and overall numbness in my foot, but that continues to get better.

EDIT: My Dr also buried the nerve into my muscle to prevent another stump neuroma.

Revision Surgery-Stump Neuroma

Had my MN revision surgery that they went in through the bottom of my foot, buried the nerve into the muscle, then injected stem cells. Was nervous because the nueroma didn’t show on my MRI, but they were able to find it. I’m in a boot right now with no weight barring, buy exited to be in recovery.

Bee issue

Having an issue with bees and wasps in our backyard. My wife is very allergic to bites so it’s a big concern. Best things to spray to kill them? We are very tight lot lines so have no idea where they are originally coming from

Morton’s Neuroma not on MRI

I’ve been dealing with an MN for 6 years now. Going back in for my second surgery now. MRI didn’t show a MN, but it didn’t either on my first surgery and the surgeon confirmed it afterwords. Has that happened to others as well. Most likely dealing with a stump nueroma.

2nd Neuroma surgery planned

Scheduled to my second neuroma surgery in September. I had the first one in 2021. Been doing alcohol injections, steroid injections, tried cryoablation. The first two on the list I had success with but they eventually wear off. My Dr. wants to go in through the bottom of my foot this time and then bury the nerve into a muscle so it can’t develop into another stump nueroma. Says it will be about 6 weeks of recovery. Has anyone else ever done surgery like this and if yes how did it work for you.

Edit: The Dr. is also planning on injecting stem cells to limit scar tissue and help recover.

Cryoablation update

Did an ultrasound guided Cryoablation on my foot 8 weeks ago. Flared it up the first week after and never was getting any relief. Did a cortisone shot 1.5 week ago and still not getting any relief. Looks like I’ll be going back in to get my second neuroma surgery in the next couple of months.

Saltillo Tiles

Moving into my house next month with Saltillo tiles. Getting a deep clean on move in. What cleaning products are best for the tiles?

My mailman tried to deliver a package to me today from River.com but it was $8 worth of postage I was suppose to pay myself so I refused it. Any idea what that would be?

Two weeks ago had cryo ablation on my Morton’s nueroma I’ve been dealing with since 2019. Did a hike 4 days after, which pissed off the nerve. Haven’t had much relief at all since it originally did it. Been walking around 10k steps the last 3-4 days but foot is pretty sore. I do notice the nerve pain/soreness is lower on my foot from where I would have pain so I’m thinking it might just be part of the nerve healing from the procedure.
