Grip for Eastman 432G

Grip for Eastman 432G

We are trying to find a grip for Eastman 432G trombone for my son. We tried a couple from Amazon, but they did not fit, the tube is too thick where they are supposed to attach. I wonder if you have any recommendations?

Bushing A, as tight as I can squeeze it

Bushing B is kind of possible to squeeze together, but it is very distorted when both ends are touching.

Besides, bushing B does not close at all with even the thinnest strip

This trombone is not exactly the same as any of the three styles they have bushings for.

Eastman ETB428?!

So my 12 yo son has been playing trombone for 3 years. Today, we went with his trombone teacher to a brass store to try out some large and medium bore trombones with f attachment. He tried a bunch of them, just for fun, including some high end ones, but surprisingly, he sounded best on Eastman ETB428. Not my opinion only, also his teacher's! So what do you think about this trombone, should I get it, or will it be a whole lot of headache in the future (breaking down all the time, or something like that), perhaps?

Any virtual or local (Baltimore or DC) competitions for a 12 yo trombone player to enter?

I wonder if there any fun competitions or scholarship opportunities for a 12 yo trombone player. He is planning to enter Philadelphia International Music Camp and Festival
Virtual Concerto Competition in the fall, but it is an intense one, chances of winning anything are small. Is there anything else? Something maybe that would look good on his resume (thinking like a mom :)?

I decided today to apply for a job opening which was closing in 2 hours, and was blindsided by the four new questions. You are now required to write essays about how you will promote presidential executive orders, and how you were inspired to become a federal employee to uphold the constitution. It feels like I made a full circle to my Young Pioneer days in Russia where we were expected to write essays on our commitment to building communism and loyalty to the Party all the time. Is it for real? Do they have actual people reading these essays and saying "This applicant did not sufficiently describe how important executive orders are for him personally"?
