Adoptee-only spaces and members who want to adopt: how do you feel?

I’m in an adoptee-only community where someone recently mentioned wanting to become an adoptive or foster parent.

In an adoptee-only peer space, how would you feel if a member is open about wanting to become or is in the process of becoming an adoptive or foster parent themselves?

Would that change how you relate to them or how open you feel sharing your experiences?

Do you think adoptees who want to become adoptive parents should still be welcome in adoptee-only spaces, or should those spaces be exclusively for adoptees who aren't pursuing that role?

Anyone with ProMotion devices + iPad mini: do you notice the 60Hz?

I have an iPhone 14 Pro and iPad Pro (both ProMotion) and I’m considering the new mini.
For those of you who also own a mini alongside ProMotion devices, how noticeable is the 60Hz in daily use?

Specifically interested in:
• Browsing / scrolling
• Watching movies/TV
• Reading

Does it bother you after a while, or do you get used to it pretty quickly?

Spot the spotter (14 Pro Photography)

Not bad for a phone that’s almost four years old. The 14 Pro still holds its own out in nature.

My 14 Pro is 3.5 years old now and I drop it at least once or twice a week, so it’s close to 200/250 drops since launch day. The case took — unsurprisingly — a massive beating. So forget about scratches because we’re talking ruptures here. My phone is still fine because the 14 Pro is built like a tank. I’m convinced it’s the stainless steel frame combined with Apple’s clear case doing the heavy lifting.

I often drop it straight onto pavement during my daily walks. This is the case. And this is my 14 Pro. Look how pristine the 14 Pro still looks.

So I quit smoking 2 years ago and gained 33 kg (73 lbs). Yeah, not cool. I ate a lot of junk food and it kinda destroyed my brain chemistry. I used to do IF all the time, for years on end, so I’m climbing back on the IF wagon and getting healthy again.

I started with 10 weeks of 2MAD to recalibrate my brain. Now I’m doing 18:30 fasting. It’s the one that works best for me since shorter fasting windows are actually harder. Today I had my first 30-hour fast. It was remarkably easy, though I was more aware of my body, not eating kinda wakes me up.

I’m a healthy eater, whole foods only. No superfoods, no weird hypes. Just real food. I only drink water.

I’m an avid walker. Love being in nature. I walk between 10K and 25K steps per day.

I’m currently 82 kg (180 lbs) and need to lose 27 kg (59.5 lbs). Goal weight 55 kg (121 lbs)

I’ll be dropping updates here throughout the week.
