I just got a second hand White embroidery machine. My hope is to use it to label my sons' swimsuits with an initial so I can tell which is which. (They have identical lycra jammer-style swim shorts for swim team, in the same size.)

I figured out how to make letters on the machine, so I think it is possible. But I am worried about getting shorts under the machine in the hoop properly. Also not sure what kind of stabilizer I should use for this material. I would appreciate any advice you can give!

I recently bought a pattern from the Simplicty website from McCalls. I didn't realize until after I bought it that it was a PDF, not a physical pattern. I don't really mind this in theory, but I don't love having to print 30+ pages on my home printer and tape them together. Has anyone has success taking these to a print shop to have it printed in larger format? Unfortunately the files are letter, legal, and A4, which I don't think are meant for large scale printing. Any hacks?
