I hope next season we actually see some happy times with angel and val either in flashbacks or even in present day.

I think it would be good to show the relationship having a real duality and not just being terrible 24/7 especially if they did start out as having a proper relationship where angel did have real feelings for him

So seeing the side of val that can actually come across as somewhat normal and charming and endear someone into trusting him and or staying in a relationship with him long enough to sigh their soul over to him would be good to see,

I even feel it would be very interesting if this also applied to present day and not just the past showing the dynamic still have the occasional actual nice moment that keeps angel from viewing his situation as entirely terrible even if he still knows its bad.

What do you think lute did to that other exorcist we saw? and what do you think adam and lute did to the exorcists in general to make them stay in line?

Do you think they simply took her off to be punished? or even cast her out the same as vaggi? I can't see them simply firing her from the army and letting her go back to living in heaven since that would seem too kind and forgiving from adam and lute,

Or it would be messed up if we found out exorcists who showed emotion like this were just imprisoned somewhere in secret for extended periods of time until they are broken and willing to do the dirty work again

And vaggi was just an exception because lute hated her or maybe because sparing a sinner was worse than any weakness any other exorcist had ever shown before so they gave up on her rather

Than trying to break her and so that other exorcist may still be locked in a cell somewhere to this day that would be dark and something they likely did behind sera's back

( also that's another thing that could be interesting about lute having redemption her having to deal with and face not only the sinners but the exorcists that she mistreated ).

Part of me has started to think it would be interesting if valentino was redeemed but wasn't punished beforehand since I feel like the fandom tends to maybe get a little obsessed over the idea of suffering.

I feel like I often see tons of talk from people about all the ways they want villains to suffer and even in talks of redemption for characters like lute or vox or valentino the talks normally involve some sort of large degree of suffering beforehand

Im not saying its terrible to want to see a villain be punished for their actions but it does feel like the fandom is a little obsessed with the idea of suffering especially when we have a number of posts that are just people saying things like

"" if val and this other character met what sort of messed up stuff would you want them to do to val? "" or people openly saying they would only be willing to accept the redemption of certain characters

Like lute or val if they were dragged through the mud and tortured and lost everything first ( and even tho I like them I also notice people don't seem to extend this same thought process for characters like sera or even imp in helluva boss when it comes to talks of redemption ),

Thats why Im saying it would be interesting to see valentino the most hated villain in the show not only get redeemed but do so in a way that goes against this suffering crave a lot of people seem to have

As viewing bad people suffer may give satisfaction but it technically is meaningless really as its not like its helping any of val's victims or undoing what they have to live with as a result of his actions and even though killing him technically would help

If we assume it frees his soul contracts but his suffering is still meaningless to that equation you'd have the same result by shooting him in the head with an angelic bullet rather than spending 10 minutes gutting him with an angelic knife even if the latter would satisfy people more,

So even though I don't think its likely I would find it interesting if the show redeemed a hated character like val and rejected the notion of great suffering necessary for redemption

Even if its uncomfortable because people dont like him or his crimes are more personal I think that would actually be a thought provoking challenge for the larger fandom.

I wonder if lute's actions may end up having some consequences for heaven in the future.

It would be a little ironic if them not taking her worsening mental state seriously led to something that didn't only harm charlie and hell but also heaven though I'm not sure what but hopefully it wouldn't be too serous that lute isn't able to be helped in the end

But could be serous enough that it leads to heaven having a big wake up call and maybe having some sort of consequences for lute getting this worse and neither herself or heaven actually working on helping her,

( I wonder if she might be allowed to kill someone or her actions cause harm to the winners of heaven that would be a little ironic given lute's creation of being made to serve and protect them ).

Do you think lute will end up killing anyone important or badly hurting someone major?

I said earlier that Im hoping she gets a happy ending and is able to be saved but it seems clear that she will get worse in future before she might get better and she's still wanting revenge at the moment so do you think she will kill an important character?

Or badly hurt someone major? I'm not sure wether to hope for it or not tbh lol as on the 1 hand it would be cool but on the other I want her to get redeemed and have a happy end

And the chances of that goes down if she ends up doing something that the characters might not be able to forgive and means she more likely might just be killed off or cast out of heaven and deemed a lost cause.

I hope lute is able to be helped in the future.

I don't want her to get killed or kicked out of heaven as that would be kind of sad rather than her actually being able to be helped in the end after she does likely go even further off of the rails in the future

It would be nice if abel was able to bring her back from the edge or maybe even vaggi in a funny irony rather than her just being cast out and made to suffer even more than she already has after losing adam,

It could even be funny if by the end of the show she actually ended up as the leader of the exorcists because by this point abel has realised and accepted that even at his best he isn't army leadership material

And by this point they trust lute to actually do right with the role ( maybe her arm even grows back because similar to vaggi she has a meaningful revelation about herself but that's probably getting a little ahead of myself lol )

I just don't want lute to suffer anymore or get a bad ending she could be cool as a good guy even if she never quite becomes a cuddly pacific or anything as extreme.
