This one was so fun to do. The client wanted an anime-style piece but with realistic facial details — freckles, the slight asymmetry in her gaze, the texture in the hair. Keeping that balance between illustration and realism is always a challenge but that’s exactly what I love about this style.

The pink heart was her idea and it ended up being the perfect frame for the whole composition.

Wanted to share a piece we finished recently. Color realism is one of our main focuses and this one took a few sessions to get the shading and depth right — the yellow flower clusters were the trickiest part to get the gradient right without losing the linework underneath.
