Outlook emails going to people's spam folder
I've been helping someone who's emails from their Outlook address have recently been ending up in the recipients spam folder.
She has a abcdef@abcdef.com and a abcdef@outlook.com email address. The abcdef@abcdef.com was recently compromised and was used to send spam. She had the password changed and is back in control of it now, but now emails from her abcdef@outlook.com address now go straight to spam, even though it was never compromised.
I sent a test email from abcdef@outlook.com to my google address and marked it as not spam. A second test email wasn't flagged as spam. She also has a ghijkl@google.com address which she uses in the same email client as her outlook address. I sent an email to myself from that address and it didn't go to spam.
I regret not sending an email between her address while I had the chance. I'll make a point of doing that next time.
She is planning to move away from abcdef@abcdef.com and instead make abcdef@outlook.com her main address. Can she do anything to remove her outlook address from spam filters?
She is using the Outlook desktop app in Windows 11.
Thank you.
