How are XY Mega references incompatible with new Megas???

Not looking for a ruling because it's been answered. I just find it dumb because cards like Mega Signal and Mega Catcher have the exact same reference but Mega Signal has an additional restriction.

I know they can't say "Mega" Pokemon to refer to all new Megas because that would also hit Mega Lopunny & Jigglypuff. They can't exclude M Pokemon because that's no longer a rulebox type in rotation and wouldn't make sense to reference.

Due to formatting, XY Mega Evolution references should be forwards compatible.

I'm looking for some feedback on a comic platform idea I have.

It's a print out comic website for user-made content and marketed towards places like dentist waiting rooms where they need fresh, curated content for their magazine rack.

The main features would be a page compiler to make custom booklets out of pages you like, a quick discovery system that precompiles books for easy printing and a list of properties you can make comics of legally (It wouldn't be big IPs at first but it's still worth having.)

The restriction would be having to work in specific image sizes. This is so comics can compile easily together especially on the same page. The IP idea would likely have it's own restrictions as the IP holders would have their own requirements.

Of course there'd be ads printed on the booklets and there'd be a small subscription to remove ads. But creators would be able to print their own pages without ads or include their own ads for free. The caveat being a page would have to be public for X days or have X downloads. Contribute and you get limited paid service

This website would not be for making money. It's for hobbyists and whatever money the website makes goes towards updates and server costs. But if you are more serious about it, then it might be a good way to get noticed.

I want to hear people's thoughts on this. What works for you? What doesn't? What is a feature you'd hope for?

[3 YoE, Teaching 3D art, any field, Canada]

I understand that this is a massive mismatch given my experience is in tech, arts and kids while my area is all about rough and tough oil jobs. So customer experience is the closest experience I think people would accept. I have tried to apply to game places like comic shops, bowling alleys, the arcade, laser tag but none of them called back. I've also applied to more conventional chain stores but haven't heard back from them.

My teaching experience is informal. I have no degree. My boss looked at a game demo I helped with and said he really wants 3D modeling in his art school. That's how I got that job. He didn't care about a degree or my experience.

Experience that isn't there is: 5 months of janitorial work in a now widely blacklisted company, a week helping a toy store that lasted 3 months, selling 3D prints I designed at a mini convention, and recording live curling matches but that was 2016-2017.

I've been noticing this for a while. I go to some restaurants, they get my food wrong and when I tell them so they demand I accept what they gave me. I call certain services about a product or something and they'll either just tell me that they don't want to do work today or threaten me for even calling.

I worked retail and most of my coworkers were god awful to the customers over the course of a week because they wanted to stand up against the abuse they receive. But they were just reacting poorly to customer interaction in general. I often had to pull customers away to actually help them. Depending on the customer and coworker, it's a bad look even for me to help in that situation.

Whenever I tell someone I'm making a game I'm told to drop Unity immediately and switch to S&box. I've had a similar experience when people were hyping up Godot for all the wrong reasons. So far I've mostly been hearing how S&box is not Gmod 2, isn't optimized and is filled with AI slop. But I've only been hearing from people who seem to be looking for Gmod 2 or a Roblox alternative.

From an actual standalone game creation standpoint, how does this actually fair in comparison to other popular engines like Unity, Unreal, GameMaker and Godot?

I want to open up my skit channel to more gameplay (as it was pretty requested and possible) and allow games to be suggested. Though I'm wondering about the thought of being approached by a small Youtuber of like 2500 subs. Is it too sketchy to ask for a demo of projects that catch my eye or should I just put an open invitation somewhere on my channel or anywhere really?
