Got an email to schedule interview MSLCAT

Got the email to schedule my interview by eod tomorrow, what is the interview like? What questions are asked? I have 4.5 years commercial and residential electrical apprentice experience and 2 years solar installer experience with CDL no restrictions. No Groundman hours or utility experience as I just graduated line school. 29 years old ready for a career change and very interested in line work and substation work, is this a good program and should I schedule that interview? Just slightly on the fence for some reason about MSLCAT

First Groundman call benefits?

Going to be getting a call soon and I’m wondering how does the health benefits work when we get to our first call out. Is there a waiting period? Is there a period of no coverage for new out of work books Groundman not indentured yet?

SWLCAT 66 orientation question

I should be getting my interview here pretty soon and I’m curious what the 66 orientation is like for anyone that has done it. I read somewhere that Texas has their own physical test that replaces the one at bosque farms in NM? Just want to know what to expect thanks

How are the 111 books moving?

I’m wondering if anyone here has heard how the 111 Denver Groundman book 4 is moving I’m currently on 2150, 322, 57, 160, 426, 714, 532, 66 and 768. I signed all of these 3 weeks ago and eager to get to work.

Debating if it’s worth it to fly out there for a day to sign

Substation tech apprenticeship SWLCAT

Anyone apply to any substation tech apprenticeship in SWLCAT locals? I’m really interested and curious if it’s moving anywhere as fast as 66 is with line apprenticeships.

San Francisco show was amazing

Went to the concert with my mom and sister but since tickets were so hard to get I was in the corner up high and my mom and sister got floor seats so I was just vibing by myself up there and it was amazing. What a great performance I’ve never heard a crowd be so loud singing. New Noah Kahan fan here! I want to go to more and more I wish there was another one tonight

Local 66 books

I have a question, I just graduated line school last week and have my CDL, OSHA 10, First aid cpr and other certs and I passed my aptitude test 7 out of 9. I should be getting my interview date here soon for 66 but I’m wondering how the books move out there? I’m from California and was thinking of getting a 3 month lease on an apartment and just getting there and signing the books with no job lined up yet. Is that super risky or do they move quick (like 2-3 weeks?) or should I just wait on this interview and hope I get in the apprenticeship pretty quick after the interview? Any advice or input would be appreciated
