I Think I Figured Out Omni SE Bottoming Out

TLDR: Lumbar pushes you forward too much, seat pan/foam density too shallow (horizontally), should size up

Weight & Height: 190 lbs (86kg) 5'9'' (175cm), decently muscular, 48cm SE

I think I figured out why everyone has different feel on the bottoming out on the SE despite having around the same measurements, and I think it's due to having different lumbar depth.

Basically, when I was feeling the foam density differences with my fist, I noticed that the back portion of the seat is fairly dense AND deep. However, the issue I noticed is that there is a sharp drop off (ledge) in the middle of the seat for both the foam and the pan.

This causes 2 issues. If your lumbar is fairly extended, your butt would not be fully seated behind the ledge / on the thick foam. If you sit up straight (90 degrees or so), you're also putting pressure directly on the ledge.

Personally, the chair is SO close to being perfectly comfortable. I do feel the bottom and causes discomfort only SOMETIMES, which is why I was feeling around the pad. My shoulders are also slightly too wide for the backrest, and my thighs hang off the front too much. EVEN THOUGH 48cm should be the perfect size for me.

I think I'll switch to the Maxis even though its technically too big. The longer seat depth, thicker foam, and wider back should fix all of my issues.

PSA: Forscan Mods + OBD Car Stats Working on 2025+ Mach-E

For anyone wondering, 2025+ model year Mach-Es have access to reading car stats through Forscan Lite, despite CAN bus being encrypted (no comma 4)

Forscan mods also work. I disabled the million chimes Ford decided was mandatory, like door open when car on, no seatbelt on startup, etc

Has anyone successfully disabled the front seatbelt chime by following the manual? It seems that the instructions no longer work for 2025 Mach-E

Just did a roadtrip using mostly Bluecruise, and I have to say, Ford is out of their minds for trying to charge $50/month($65CAD) for this mess of a system.

First, there's ZERO setting on the frequency or aggressiveness of the system. BC will constantly try to pass cars going barely 2mph slower than the set speed, and constantly weave in and out of the passing lane instead of passing a group of cars.

I have no confidence at all in BC because there's ZERO visualizations. I'm not talking about Tesla level machine vision. Mach E doesn't even have basic dynamic distance icons on the dash, let alone vehicles cutting into the lane or cars passing by. Cars from a decade ago at a minimum showed if the car in front is getting too close.

My old Ioniq 5 has Highway Driving Assist 2, being identical to Bluecruise 1.5 which is essentially adaptive cruise control with lane change. HDA is a FREE system, with far better visualizations, and the fallback lane keep actually works. The Mach E hands on when BC is disengaged is completely useless as it will disengage if it misses a single lane line.

It should not take a few stutters to load the settings to open the trunk, pull up recirc/airflow position, or seat heating/ventilation in a 2025 car.

What's the point of all the gimmick apps when they lag like crazy, and refreshes when another App is open?

My 1st gen Ioniq 5 also had an outdated processor. Despite having a dedicated HVAC panel, Hyundai decided to remove some graphics from the HVAC screen on the infotainment so it loaded a SPLIT second faster, and it made all the difference.

It feels like Ford could really strip down the software if they're unwilling to put in the hardware.
