Measles can erase up to 73 percent of your immune system’s memory

I wish more people knew about this. I remember when I got the measles as a young child, before the vaccine was available. I was so sick, and had a very high fever. And for several years after that, I missed a lot of school because I was sick with other stuff.

Bombing civilian infrastructure in Iran

So, trump has actually followed through on his threats to bomb bridges, etc, in Iran. I just read that they also took out a desalination plant that provides drinking water. Bombing civilian infrastructure is a war crime. Now the statement that Rubio made recently about "dismantling" the International Criminal Court make more sense. If I understand correctly, the UN Security Council could make a referral to the ICC to bring trump up on charges. Can anyone verify this for me?

David Hatley for Governor

I've seen some commercials for David Hatley and I'm trying to find some more information about him. He's running as an Independent, but I would like to know if he's always been an Independent, or if he has changed his affiliation to attract more voters. Does anyone know anything about this? Any information would be appreciated. I'm thinking he might be the person to get behind, but I want to know more. He probably has a Facebook page, but I'm not on there.

Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing

Last bottle I bought was noticeably watered down. I think next time, I'm going to by the dry mix packet, so that I can make it with a thicker consistency.

Are we still in a democracy?

I'm feeling depressed today. It feels to me like our country is no longer a democracy. More like a dictatorship, with trump being the figurehead and the evil men behind him pulling the puppet strings. I think they're gonna build the ballroom, with the bunker underneath it. The bunker will be set up like a nursing home for trump. Eventually he will die, but the puppet masters will claim he's still "in charge" and keep the charade going with fake, AI videos and audio clips. Someone, please tell me I'm wrong.

Freezer containers

I live alone, having issues with food waste. I'm trying to find some freezer containers that don't include plastic. I found some that are freezer safe glass, but the lids are plastic. I need small containers. Something that will hold individual serving sizes. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. I like to make large batches of stuff like pasta sauce, soup, chili, etc and then freeze them in amounts that are just enough for one serving.

Tim Cyr for governor

I strongly urge my fellow Tennesseans into researching Tim Cyr. Apparently he doesn't have the big money behind him that some of the other candidates have. He is former military, he's a farmer, and he seems like he really wants to make Tennessee a better place to live for everyone. We don't need people who have been politicians for years to run this state. We need someone who is living in reality, who knows what struggles us everyday, average citizens are going through right now. Please take a few minutes to look him up and please consider voting for him. We need to get these old, career politicians out of office. All they care about is money and power. If you're reading this, thanks for your time.

Airport name change

Palm Beach International becomes Donald J. Trump International, the first US airport named for a sitting president, with the FAA identifier now reading DJT. Trump Org collects licensing fee revenue. I hope everyone starts boycotting this airport. There's video of reporters asking people what they think about the name change. Every single person who replied was disgusted.

It's good it's the last season

Seems like everything on this show has gone downhill. The pacing, the dialogue, the script, it all reminds me of an old soap opera now. I'm just hanging in there because I want to see how it all ends. Seems like whoever is running things just doesn't care. It's a shame, because I used to love it.

Time for memory care

I was blessed to find the place where my MIL has been in assisted living for the last 5 years. The people working there are amazing, and they genuinely love her. She took a pretty dramatic turn for the worse recently. They have really good food there, but she is now forgetting that she has eaten within less than an hour of having a meal. She's been trying to go into the kitchen to get food. There are some other issues, but this is the most recent manifestation of her dementia. So, we all met and decided it's time to move her to memory care. She'll be in the same building, just on a different, secure wing. The rooms there are the same as the one she's been staying in, and all of her furniture and stuff will be set up just like they are in her old room. So hopefully it will be an easy transition. She's actually my ex MIL, I'm not married to her son anymore. But I love her like she's my Mom. I knew this change was coming, but I'm still feeling a little shook. Gonna try to make Mother's Day really special this year, because I have a feeling it won't be long before she doesn't know me anymore. Just posted this to say, cherish the ones you love. And if they're in a good facility, make sure to let the people working there know how special they are, and how much you appreciate everything they do for your LO.

I've been wondering lately if we'd all be better off if the United States split up. Figure out a fair way for the maga people to be in one part of the country and everyone else in another part. I don't know how we would do it. For example, I'm a Democrat who used to be moderate, but I lean more left ever since trump got into the picture. I live in a red state. I'm old and poor, and I need good health insurance because I have cancer. So if I had to move, I would need financial help. I'm sure there are millions of others who are in the same boat. But I'd like to hear what other people think. Are we so divided already that we should be split into two separate countries? Let me know your thoughts on this, please. Whenever my brain goes in this direction, I end up thinking, no, this shouldn't happen. Because to me, it would be like handing trump and his minions everything they want. Because the maga part would most likely be a dicktatorship. (That spelling is intentional lol.)

So, trump started an unnecessary war, which has caused ships to be stranded in and near the Straight of Hormuz. Now, he's trying to make himself look good by offering to help guide the stranded ships out from where they've been stranded. He is unfit to be president!!!

Great sub, I see myself checking it out daily. It's uplifting to read all of the ideas about what the future of our country could be. A nice change from all of the doom and gloom. Yes, we need to stay informed about what's actually happening, but it's good to take a break and dream about the future.
