I'm on Disability support pension and have severe disabilities my son applied for carers payment and carers allowance on 1st June 2026 I have had the doctors medical report done that my son had to do we took it into centrelink and everything was successfully submitted. With no further tasks asked of him and he has only received 3 emails saying we are still working on your claim and you don't need to do anything, I don't understand why it's nearly 4 weeks and if their are no further tasks why does it take so long to finalise his claim as he doesn't earn anything he us my full time carer and its a financial strain with just my disability support pension.
