Face compilation

Trying to improve my use of hatching and lighting to make more real looking pictures. These photos are in chronological order. I think I’ll challenge myself next time with face facing a different direction or with an interesting source of light. Lmk what you think where I’ve improved where I’m still struggling.

What I feel is my best face so far. Incomplete but I feel it captures actual emotion compared to my other drawings

My biggest goals rn are realism especially wanting to get better at lighting. I’ve also been enjoying hatching so tips on that would be nice too

Made my first drawing without a reference. How’d I do and how can I improve on lighting and my use of hatching?

Don’t mind the blue, made it on a paper at my job not tryna doxx the place

Learning to draw again it’s been about a month after nearly 10 years. How could I improve?

Started with anime because it seemed approachable. These pictures go in the order that I started drawing so if you could point out where I’ve improved or gotten worse even that’d be nice. Some things I know I struggle with are hair and clothes as well as depth and value, so critiques in those areas would be super helpful thank you.

Picked up drawing after many years trying to improve

Started with anime characters and I’m just curious what steps I should take as a beginner to improve. The hardest parts of these drawings were definitely hands, hair, clothing, and depth, so I’m curious how could I develop my technique in those areas. Any other criticisms are helpful too thank you
