how involved should parents b in choosing a marriage partner

been thinking about this lately. where should families draw the line when it comes to helping someone find a spouse?

i get that parents want to be involved and suggest people they think might be a good fit. but ultimately, the person getting married should have the final say and be able to decide if they actually connect with someone.

my sister is going through this right now, and our family has started introducing her to potential matches. she’s independent, knows what she wants, and has her own idea of what kind of person she’d be happy with. she just doesn’t want everyone else making the decision for her.

for those who’ve been through something similar, how did your family handle it?

LOOKING FOR HELP/GUIDANCE

not strictly a bilt question, but where do you guys usually look for good flight redemptions?

i have amex + bilt and wanna get more serious about maximizing my points, mainly for flights with hotels as a secondary.

where do you guys search for low point redemptions? i keep seeing people score great flights for barely any points, but idk where to even start 😭

i don't mind paying for a tool if it makes finding good redemptions easier.

also just found out about amex.point.me, but the site keeps crashing every time i try to log in lol. anyone know how to fix that?
