Comp feels way too easy after coming back as a veteran.

I started playing Overwatch again for the first time in a while, and honestly, Comp feels ridiculously easy right now.

As a veteran player, it feels like I came back and immediately started dominating again. Maybe it’s all the experience and muscle memory from playing Overwatch for years, but a lot of these matches feel way easier than I expected.

Maybe I’m just getting lucky with my teams. Maybe the matchmaking is being unusually nice to me. Or maybe I actually still have it after all.

Either way, I’m enjoying it while it lasts because I know Overwatch matchmaking. Sooner or later, it’s going to remember who I am and throw me into the most cursed, unwinnable games imaginable to balance everything out.

I just got a notification that the player I reported was banned.

He was blatantly cheating on console, and I'm glad the report actually led to action. Too many people think they can get away with using cheats or unauthorized devices, and it completely ruins ranked for everyone else.

It's honestly nice to see that reports do matter. Hopefully this encourages the devs to keep cracking down on cheaters, because console ranked is much more enjoyable when people are actually playing fairly.

Maybe he has Smurf accounts...

I think I’m going to stop playing Marvel Rivals for now.

I genuinely love this game, but I’m honestly exhausted. The matchmaking is already frustrating enough, but constantly running into XIM players in high elo makes it even worse. You spend so much time trying to improve and compete fairly, only to end up against someone using a mouse and keyboard with an unfair advantage on console.

At some point, it just stops being fun. Every game feels like there’s another XIM player, a smurf, or some completely ridiculous matchmaking situation waiting for me. I’m tired of getting frustrated every time I queue up.

So yeah, I think I’m going to take a break from Marvel Rivals for now. Maybe I’ll come back eventually, but right now I just don’t feel like dealing with this anymore. I play on console to compete against other controller players, not people using XIM and pretending everything is completely fair.

I’m just tired. 💀

Bro, what was that aim?!

I don’t want to immediately call every good player a cheater, but that did not look normal at all. The crosshair was moving so weirdly and snapping straight onto enemies like the game was literally aiming for him.

And I’m supposed to believe that’s just “good aim”? Bro, I’ve played this game long enough to know what normal aim looks like. This looks extremely suspicious.

Maybe it’s not cheats, maybe it’s some weird bug or aim assist but when it looks this blatant, can you really blame people for being suspicious? Report and move on.

My Teammates said he doesn't cheat ok...

Can we please stop playing 3 supports every game?

I asked multiple times to go 2-2-2, and everyone ignored it. I finished with 29 kills, 20 final blows, and on Hawkeye, and it still wasn't enough.

What made it even worse was the Luna Snow player. They kept acting childish in chat instead of communicating like an adult. Instead of discussing the team comp or trying to win, they just kept typing immature comments.

I don't care if someone mains Luna Snow, but if you're playing ranked, at least work with your team. Ignoring everyone and acting childish in chat just makes an already frustrating game even worse.

Yeah, I was a little toxic, but there were also several other reasons.

In the first screenshots, they were on the enemy team. In the next game, they were on my team, and we lost that match. I really don't like this matchmaking at all.

A new Blade bug?

Can anyone explain to me what that "Blade Dash" was?

I'm not the best Blade player, but that's not normal, is it?

And I shoot infinitely lol.

Got a chat ban for saying literally one word.

I got a chat ban for typing a single word. No insults, no harassment, nothing toxic at all. Just one message and suddenly it’s a penalty.

Meanwhile people are arguing, throwing games, and being way more toxic in chat or in game, and nothing happens to them.

Feels like the system is way more sensitive about chat than actual game behavior.

You can lose games because of obvious issues, say one harmless thing out of frustration, and you end up getting punished.

At this point it honestly feels like talking at all is more risky than playing the game.

Can we talk about XIM players in high elo Marvel Rivals.

I'm fine with losing to better players, but losing to people using XIM is just frustrating.

High elo should be about skill, teamwork, and game sense not hardware advantages. You can often tell when someone's using XIM, and it completely ruins the competitive experience on console.

What's the point of grinding ranked if people can just bypass the limitations everyone else plays with?

They're almost always Puni players.

How does the point system in ranked actually works?

I just had a ranked game where I went 34/4/12, got MVP, dealt over 30k damage, and had 15 final blows. Despite that, I only gained +21.

Meanwhile, our supports got around +24 I'm not saying they didn't play well, but how does the MVP with the best stats in the lobby end up getting less points?

Does anyone actually understand how the point system works in high elo? Because right now, it feels completely inconsistent.

Ranked matchmaking in Rivals makes no sense sometimes.

How is it even possible for a D1 player to end up in a full Celestial lobby in Marvel Rivals?

I just had a ranked match where almost everyone was Celestial 3 - 2 and then there was a Diamond 1 player. I'm genuinely confused about how this matchmaking system works. That's a two-rank difference.

I'm not trying to blame the player, but this shouldn't happen in a competitive mode that's supposed to be based on skill. Either the matchmaking is way too loose, or the hidden MMR system is doing some really weird things.

At higher ranks, every match matters, and seeing huge rank gaps like this makes ranked feel inconsistent and unfair. Has anyone else experienced Diamond players showing up in Celestial lobbies, or is this just another Marvel Rivals matchmaking moment?

Unfortunately, I didn't take a screenshot.

I don't like this person at all.

Isaac is one of the most hated players in Marvel

Rivals on console. She really gets on my nerves. All she ever plays is Wanda it's her one-trick character. If anything goes wrong, she immediately starts throwing the game.

On top of that, she's incredibly toxic in chat and constantly blames everyone else instead of taking responsibility for her own mistakes. It's exhausting to play with her.

And it was 5v5, so it was fair.

Bucky...

"Bucky isn't that strong."

I swear, half the community doesn't realize how scary this hero becomes once you learn his combos and ult timings.

People keep complaining about other Duelists while Bucky quietly farms entire lobbies.

Some streamers say that Bucky is a B-tier.

Some players...

I know I probably shouldn't have done that, but I literally saved my team multiple times. I played Mag all game, switched to Squirrel Girl to deal with their support, and it actually worked. Instead of getting any credit, player 946 spent the whole match being toxic toward me. Gotta love ranked.

And in the next game, everything was great nice teammates, no toxic behavior.

Xim in Gm to Cel...

I've noticed there are quite a few XIM players in high Elo, and honestly, it feels like Netease doesn't care at all.

It's unfair for regular controller players to have to compete against people using mouse and keyboard through adapters. The worst part is that a lot of players don't even report them. People are quick to report throwers, AFKs, or toxic players, but when it comes to obvious XIM users, most just ignore it.

If the community isn't reporting them and Netease isn't actively dealing with the problem, then what exactly is supposed to happen? High ranked matches should be about skill, not who has the biggest hardware advantage.

I enjoy the game, but running into XIM players makes competitive feel less legitimate every season.

This is only for Console players. Sorry, Pc players.

Matchmaking.

Netease seriously needs to focus more on matchmaking instead of constant balance changes. What’s the point of balancing heroes if the matchmaking itself feels bad?

Most matches just turn into a coin flip because teams are filled with way more bad players than good ones. It doesn’t even feel competitive half the time just random. One game you stomp, next game you get teammates who look completely lost.

Right now the game feels 50/50 purely because of matchmaking, not skill.

I used to play Marvel Rivals a lot more, but these days I barely touch it because the matches just aren’t fun anymore.

You can share your thoughts on this.

I know that balance is also important.

Idk

Why is it that lately, only Arab players are in my team, and there was only one on the opposing team? I don't have a problem with that, but in rank? Communication is key, but if my whole team doesn't speak English and on top of that, they have high ping.

It's just a question. And we lost because there was no communication

u/SoundAccurate — 3 months ago

Netease really needs to wake up. We have a huge problem with “throwers” at both high and low Elo levels. How are ranked matches or other modes supposed to be fun under these situations? One player, babyCakes, is a “thrower” and hasn’t been banned yet, while another, XDark, is a racist. I just don’t get it.

In any case, we need more avoid lists.
