I have exclusively played supports in QP and ranked for years now, so I’m used to being the main target to kill… but so far this season it’s felt like I’m playing a horror game. Every dps is likely a dive character and the tank half the time makes space purely by focusing me wayyy in the back line. Strategically this all makes sense, but gdamn!

TLDR Is it just me or are players focusing supports far more than they have in even the recent past?

Its literally worse state ever since 2016, Q TIMES ARE LIKE 5 seconds!!!

They removed all sense just to find games quicker.

QP is just ridiculous, balanced game NEVER happens, you either get spawn trapped or you can emote around and win.

"Its just qp" NO, even qp should be somewhat fun, its unplayable mode atm. Let me atleast leave the games, its truly madness

I had this problem for a year now where i play the game and then get kicked for literally no reason, while the ping never even changes. I just get this little, red warning icon and boom, i'm gone 5 seconds later. Sometimes after 5 minutes of play, other times after an hour. There is literally no pattern. All this, while everything else online related works perfectly on my console (and other devices).

I took every possible step to fix it with no luck. I'm slowly losing my sanity here and honestly think this is just a game/server issue at this point.

I urge everyone who has this issue to make a bug report in Blizzard's forums right now.

Me and someone else already made one each and the more we can flood their bug report with this, the more likely it is they'll actually pay attention to it and try to find a solution for this.

I'm just so tired of this nonsense. I don't even want to play the game anymore, which sucks, cause i was excited for Season 5.

For the past few seasons I’ve been getting a lot of lag that seems to be getting worse. Fights start getting crazy and players are floating in the air, falling through the ground, and walking through walls. It’s especially bad if an Anran or mauga is around me. Has anyone else seen this? As of this most recent update some matches I play are unplayable now.

I dont have this problem on any other game. I’ve tried the pre cache shaders custom game. Uninstalling and reinstalling the game. Toggling Xbox FPS settings. Toggling AMD free sync on my monitor. I’m out of ideas and I can’t seem to find anything online about this.

Options>gameplay>general>network and look at limit client send rate and limit server send rate and see if they are turned on if they are turn them off

I’ve been losing constantly in the tank role and I know for sure I’ve made a few bad plays or my aim was bad so I’m looking for friendly advice/criticism! Mainly looking for how much of it was my fault and how I can work on improving in the future!

I’m gonna say it: Reinhardt needs a bit of a nerf. He is currently sitting at:

• Americas: 13% Pick Rate, 53.2% WR and doesn't drop below 52% at any rank. Only Dmon is higher, and she's bouyed by some insane stats earlier.
• Asia: He drops down to 8.9% pick, 51.7% WR overall, though he gets worse once you get past Plat.
• Europe: 13.6% pick rate, 53% in rate. He's nearly 54% in gold and silver, but doesn't really drop below 52% for most ranks. Only Dmon is higher.

On controller, he's even more dominant overall, though I won't break those out, you can go look them up.

We all know Dmon is coming down from straight busted territory, and the hotfix didn't reset her absurd winrate, so in vacuum, the OG shield tank is CLEARING in unmirrored matchups.

I like Rein, I enjoy his character, I enjoy his personality, his pure-ness as a tank. But like Ana, he's benefitted from a ton of boosts to the role and minor tweaks to him over time where the role/he was buffed instead of OP characters being nerfed and now he's straight running the lobby sometimes.

What makes it even more frustrating is the state of his counterplay. Take Ramattra, arguably one of the most obvious tanks to pick into Rein. In theory, Ram should be able to pressure him through the shield and force Rein to give ground, but in practice a Rein with even one competent support behind him can basically just hold the line, holding his shield up to protect people, wait out the Nemesis form, then swing hard into the Rein who is reduce to a sheild that does nothing and his staff.

Ram can't push enough damage through Rein's shield to meaningfully force him out if Rein is being supported, and he can't simply walk through Rein to get to the squishies behind him either. Rein's entire job is to stand there and prevent exactly that. He's doing his job, but it makes tanking against him INCREDIBLY challenging.

So you end up in this really awkward situation where the supposed Rein counter is fighting the Rein on Rein's terms.

This is especially noticeable in Plat and Emerald. This seasons it feels like a bunch of former high rank Rein players have landed in these lobbies and discovered that they can just run the entire game if they have a support even glancing at them.

1. Rein walks forward.
2. Support keeps him alive.
3. Shield goes up.
4. Other tank can't burn through it.
5. You try to go around.
6. Rein pins or swings you down.
7. You try to reach the backline.
8. You can't get past him.

I don't think Rein needs to be gutted. I don't even think he needs a massive mechanical rework.

But between the cumulative buffs he's received, the changes to the tank role, his current win rate, and how difficult his counterplay becomes when he's properly supported, I think we're past the point where another Rein buff is harmless.

D.Mon got the emergency treatment Rein just needs a little bit of the juice taken back out.

But it's not just Ram. Orisa can theoretically stand her ground against Rein and disrupt his engagements with gold and spear. Winston is supposed to completely bypass the shield and put pressure on the backline instead of taking the Rein fight. Yet Rein is still performing extremely well into the tank pool overall. Orisa is about as close as Overwatch gets to a training-wheels tank. Her entire game plan is basically “stand in Rein’s face, press Gold, throw spear, and refuse to die.” If even that incredibly straightforward matchup is producing a win rate three to five points below Rein depending on rank and region.

I don’t want him gutted or turned into a throw pick. I want him strong when the player is actually managing space, timing shield, landing pins, and making smart decisions, but right now, the floor feels too low and the ceiling is even higher with a competent support behind him. He walks forward, his team walks behind him, his support erases the damage, and the longer you spend trying to break that push, the more opportunities he gets to turn the fight around.

There should be a point where you pick the right counter, use your cooldowns correctly, pressure him properly, and Rein has to give up ground, but he doesn't have to do that right now but too often, the answer is just “nope, that’s Rein" and NO ONE bans Rein because... well, he's just Rein, right?

(And this lobby-running Rein is never on MY team for some reason goddammit)

4 games in a row im getting low level tanks and supports, none even having a character above lvl 10. 4 games in a row of my team going 0/3 within the first 2 teamfights. 4 games in a row of me apparently being the only person with a brain as the tanks bum rush and counterswap every death and the supports so focused on the garbage tank that our dps start to fall apart. Like genuinely think these are the players from MR who think their gonna get all the healing in the world and act like natural cover doesnt even exist. Then i check the enemy team and their all lvl 50s and higher??? Like wth is that logic where you stick me whos lvl 50 on three characters with a bunch of newbies who couldnt spell the world peel let alone do it. Like genuinely considering just playing comp forever bc having to deal with this my first games on is infuriating. It wasnt even like i was doing bad i was having to carry the team for 3/4 of those games.

Recently I've been noticing a lot of people in-game complaining about Mercy Pockets when the Mercy is just doing her job.

I had a game where a Genji was complaining about Mercy pocketing an Ashe BEFORE THE 1ST ROUND EVEN STARTED just because she was boosting her first shots on spawn (kings row def).

I've also been called out for being a pocketed soldier because Mercy damage boosted my ult or she latched on to me for more than 3 seconds.

Any Mercy players here that get shit for "pocketing" someone when you're just doing your thing? lol

I’m not sure what’s going on this season, but I have a doom one trick on my team at least every 4 out of 5 games. No exaggeration. I try my best to help them with getting picks and taking pressure off of them but when they insist on playing him into 5 counters idk what to do? Is this only me or what?

Depending on your console MMR, your PC pool should be significantly lower.

Playing heroes that don’t rely on aim assist like projectile heroes, Moira, Wu Yang, Brigitte, etc means you can blow through lower rank backlines with ease.

I swap to PC pool to play heroes that aren’t in my Top 3 for the weekly but still use my controller.

I’m Masters on console and placed Silver on PC so I ate their back lines alive as Hazard and Doom.

Hi all. I am (or should i say WAS) a Grandmaster 4 tank. I was playing last night and I came against the same enemy tank 5 (FIVE) games in a row who was a Smurf. I lost every game.

I know he was a Smurf as I messaged him on PSN and though he was a chill guy, he admitted to his main account being in Champion 3. So a whole rank difference.

I doubt I will even get rank reclaim as I am not sure if smurfs even get banned on this game.

But regardless, how on earth can I come against the same guy that many times consecutively? After 4 consecutive, i waited 5 mins to queue and still came against him.

I know some of you might just say to wait longer before I queue again, but should it really have to be this way?! It seems a little ridiculous. I know it’s a skill issue on my part but this guy is literally a Smurf. If I were to make an account and play in Diamond and stomp the same tank 5 times in a row he’d be right to ask questions about that too!

In the past couple weeks, I have been experiencing this more, with two other guys I have came against 3 games in a row.

Sorry about a ranty post. The main questions are, are other people experiencing this? Should this be happening in matchmaking?

Hi, everyone! Some friends of mine recently created Overwatch accounts, and we’ve been playing a lot together. We’ve helped them reach 50 wins in Quick Play, but we still can’t get into Competitive mode. I don’t play it much myself, and I don’t have a rank in any role yet I haven’t played the required 10 placement matches. But we can each get into Competitive mode on our own. Please let us know how we can get into Competitive mode together. What do we need to do?

I see there are a lot of older subs with info about this. Hoping there's someone out there now that uses a keyboard on their ps5 for text chat. If so, please lmk what you have. Thanks!

It’s rare I ever hop into a custom match but everytime I do without fail I will get messaged by someone on PlayStation from the custom game asking if I’m a woman. They will proceed to non stop message me and spam invite me to parties even when I don’t respond. When I block the accounts they hop on other ones. The only solution is making my account private whenever it happens and I have to keep it that way for at least a month or they will still try and message me. I can’t even report them because play station does nothing about it. Has anyone else experienced this? It’s gotten extremely creepy and it almost seems like a bunch of people are all in on this together. These people have gone through my profile and friends and found out who my boyfriend was without any indicators.
