ISO: Restaurant for Bridesmaid Proposal

Planning my bridesmaid proposal for 7 people total. Torn between using a my own limited space with catering (around $300 total) vs taking everyone out to a restaurant.

Looking for a restaurant that is aesthetically pretty, around $40-55 per person (or a little over what I’d be spending at home) for brunch/light drinks or similar vibe, within Etobicoke or GTA (but ideally outside of downtown Toronto).

If I should go with at home catering, please share any affordable caterer/suggestions as well.

Thanks so much!

I’m planning a local wedding a little over a year out (in 2027) and trying to figure out my timeline for engaging everyone — sending guests save the dates, invitations, and when to ask our wedding party.

I’ve seen a lot of different advice online, but I personally prefer to do things on the earlier side (as long as that’s not a bad idea or causes issues).

A few questions:

- Would you send digital save the dates a year in advance?

- Would you include the venue name? It’s a really exciting venue, so I’m torn between sharing it early vs on invites/website only

- Do you include a wedding website on the save the dates? I’m thinking of doing digital STDs (Paperless Post) + a Canva website, followed by hard invites, but I don’t have the site set up just yet (and if so, when do I listed the venue on the site if not the STD)

- Is it better to ask your bridesmaids/groomsmen before sending save the dates, just after/around the same time, or does it not really matter?

Would love to hear what timelines worked for you and whether the tools/website I’m planning to use caused any issues.

Thanks in advance!
