Torn Compliance Bushing

Torn Compliance Bushing

I think I know what to do about this but just want to make sure. Steering is noticeably loose on left-handed turns.

Planning to replace both lower control arms and ball joints since most shops won’t just press new bushings in. Anything else that should be done while in there?

Front Susp Refresh

Driver side lower control arm bushing is going out so figured it’s time to redo the front suspension. I’m seeing mixed reviews on Moog LCAs, what are y’all’s experience with them? They have a full front-end kit on Rock auto.

Overall I will replace LCAs and ball joints with oem or 555 and whatever else might need fixing while in there.

Affordability while in college

So I’ve had my TL since Jan 2025 and am just now approaching 150k. Thankfully, because it was a 1owner car, I haven’t been hit with any huge repair bills as of yet.

I do have a slight feeling that ownership and repair costs will mount and might be too much. Currently I make about $2000 a month while working and taking classes. This is a pretty good budget for a student but is it enough to be comfortable owning the TL or should I sell? (Considering maintenance/repair, insurance, gas, mods, etc)

How often do you guys the manual shift? Is it bad for the transmission? I try to use it gently.

When you leave it in auto its always wants to stay in higher gears which is annoying sometimes.
