Part-time counselor, full-time workload

Hi there, I am a full-time counselor but I am split between two elementary schools in my district, so 3 days at one school, 2 days at the other. I’m also the main or only counselor at each site, so it feels as though Im working 2 full-time counseling jobs that are actually two part-time jobs. It feels very difficult to do anything preventative (class circles, yoga and mindfulness etc) as everything feels so reactive when you are under resourced yet still expected to work a full load, respond when problems and crisis arise etc.

For those that are in a similar situation (not able to be full-time at one dedicated school site),what does your role look like and what services are you prioritizing? And what makes you feel successful in your role, because I am struggling…I bounce back and forth between each school pretty much every other day and never feel quite grounded or organized. Our counseling was cut significantly in our district in recent years, yet no responsibilities have been cut…in fact, it feels as though they keep piling up.

Travel Baseball + Competitive Soccer?

Hi there, I wanted to see if anyone had the experience of having a child that plays both travel baseball and competitive soccer?

My son is 9 and will soon begin his third season playing competitive soccer with one of our local clubs, which he loves. He also plays baseball, and has been playing in our local little league since he was 4y/o in t-ball. He just finished playing on our 9U All-Star team, which left him really motivated to play more baseball and has recently expressed interest in travel ball. He’s quite skilled in, and genuinely enjoys playing, both sports.

For any parents that have experience with playing both, I would love to hear what your experience is/was like, especially as far as managing both commitments time and energy wise. Thank you!

LR3 to LR4 - cats won’t use new unit

My two cats have used the litter robot 3 for the past 7 years and the time finally came to replace it. We just bought the LR4, have it set up in the same place, mostly same litter (trying to transition to clay but currently using about 80% of the one they’re used to), same everything, and these cats will not go near it. Instead, in the last 48hrs they’ve pooped on the carpet and peed in our bed. This is surprising, considering in a pinch we’ve used different litter boxes for them in different places and they’ve always been super flexible. Does anyone have any experience with us or any tips to help get them on board with the LR4??

I’ve watched the show since the beginning and I’m having a hard time thinking of any time Lindsay has fully taken responsibility when she’s been wrong or given anyone a genuine apology ever (not an “I’m sorry, but…).

Just one example: Looking at the unraveling of her and Carl‘s engagement, they both made mistakes and I’ve never heard her take accountability for her actions/role in any of their relationship issues and, ultimately, their demise. It seems like she truly believes she did nothing wrong in her and Carl’s relationship.

I’m not a Lindsey hater by any means, but has the woman ever admitted when she’s been wrong or out of line??
