Help with Ranger/Warlock Build
Hi everyone! I’m playing a homebrew game in the Ravenloft setting. I’m playing a cowboy/rodeo man from a traveling fair in the mists. My goal is to make a ranger/warlock build around debuffing/buffing as my party as two other dmg based martials. Let me know what you think could be good!
Stats: (I rolled incredibly good for this character)
STR: 12
DEX: 15+1 =16
CON: 14
INT: 12
WIS: 16
CHA: 16+2 =18
My chosen race is Dhampire for story reasons and thus I was wanting to play the new undead patron subclass for warlock and the hallow warden ranger. their “transformations” would be flavored as my vampirism growing in strength. Btw weapon choice doesn’t matter flavor wise. I’m starting ranger 1, then starting to take levels in warlock
Because my DM is ruling that Shillelagh works with the warlocks repelling blast and agonizing blast, I was thinking of dual wielding with a club, or use a quarter staff as my main weapon. I love the topple weapon mastery, along with causing fear through my two subclasses, knocking them back with RB (Shillelagh on the weapon), AND maybe castings of Ensnaring Strike would be super cool. I think it would also be rodeo like that when the monster is restrained with Ensnaring Strike I could try and wrap them with chains the next round?
Let me know if there’s any cool combos or other options I should consider!
