My aunt loved her lip stain I made her

I made this stain for my aunt cuz she knows I'm a cosmetic formulator. She wanted an every day nude she can wear to work. I'm not too sure what to name it lol( like what should I name the shade). Any suggestions?

I made a hair texture powder because every one I tried either went flat by afternoon or felt way too heavy

I’ve been working on a hair texture powder because I got tired of the same problem over and over: most texture powders either gave my hair some volume for the first hour and then went completely flat by the afternoon, or they felt too heavy/gritty and made my hair look dirty instead of styled.

I wanted something that gave that dry, touchable volume without making the hair feel loaded with product.

After testing and adjusting the formula, I finally had a local barber try it professionally — and he loved it. He told me it performed well behind the chair, and now the product is actually being sold locally at local barbershops. I also have screenshots/proof of the barber feedback and local placement, which honestly feels surreal after all the testing.

I’m a small indie founder/formulator, so seeing something go from a formula idea to being barber-approved and actually sitting in barbershops is a big moment.

What I was trying to solve:

Texture powders that go flat too fast

Powders that feel too heavy or chalky

Hair that looks good in the morning but collapses by afternoon

Products that give volume but make the hair feel dirty

Styling products that are hard to restyle throughout the day

The goal was a dry texture powder that gives lift, grip, and volume while still feeling lightweight enough for everyday use.

I know “barber-approved” gets thrown around a lot, but in this case it was actually tested by a barber before I started selling it locally. That feedback gave me the confidence to keep going with it.

For anyone else making indie grooming or beauty products: getting real feedback from professionals is brutal but so worth it. They notice things regular customers may not explain clearly — how it applies, how it feels, how it performs during styling, and whether they’d actually use it again.

This is one of the first products I feel genuinely proud of because it solved a problem I personally had.

Has anyone else struggled with texture powders going flat or feeling too heavy? What do you usually look for in a good hair powder?
