Tackling ones opponent instead of sliding into them

I was getting really annoyed with only being able to slide into my targets as well as getting ambushed fight after beating up an enemy near a ledge. As a result of my frustration, I though, why can't we tackle them? I imagine something like this, you run towards them, jump to tackle them, and if successful, you grab them in the air, you going forward, them going backwards, you punch them once, throw them to the ground on their back, then role into a fighting stance facing forward, or backwards depending on your inputs turning the tackle. Think I'm gonna post this on reddit too.

So, the target would get a bit of damage from the initial grab, like a slide kick thing already does, then more from the hit during the tackle, and then a large chunk from the slam on the back. Granted, you may not end up doing any health damage to them due to how stamina works, or maybe you could because you can't necessarily block a tackle and it's resulting offensive movements.

Thoughts?

The pawn system from Dragon’s Dogma in this

Idk if you've heard, but Dragon's Dogma has a pawn system in their latest game (it's 2026) and I think if Sloclap ever came back, they should incorporate a similar system into this beautiful work of art.

You make a character, give it the movies for fists, gauntlets and swords, then send it out into other player worlds to fight them. Would be smart if the pawns auto scale to the player their fighting. Maybe you set which percentage of their level points go into which category. Would be even cooler if you get to set programed features into the character. For example, "when opponent does x movement you do x movment." Would smart to have a limit so that it can't be abused, maybe like 5 or 10 scripts. It could even be, "when stop attacking when stamina reaches 50% or lower," then you could have another, "don't initiate attacks unless stamina is at 100%." When a pawn wins it forcibly extracts an item from the opponent so lets give it an inventory too, as well as a script section for item extraction, "if opponent has this item take it," or "if opponent has item 1 and item 2, only take item 2." Maybe you can even act as your pawns subconscious, guiding it towards different places and opponents, that way it can become an absolver. And a pawn becoming an Absolver could let you as double the scripts and double the inventory space.

That's all I got. Thank you for reading.

Map and beginning area

It would have been nice if they they gave us a map, even cooler if it was made from essence, or even a collection of connected little stone slabs like the doors for the downfall places. Then collapses away or disperses when you cancel the map. I kept getting lot and confused. Also, for some reason I kept thinking their was a way to the beginning area, but their wasn't, I would be nice to go there again. Fuck, gonna make another post just thought of another idea.

What they could have added

So, after realizing your levels can reach 1000, I've come to the conclusion that the devs fumbled an astronomical bag. Lets start with the downfall update. You always start in that sams place, that could have made that entire mine exploration with enemies and bosses all the way down that get harder and harder. And better than starting near the top, they start us at the very top of the mine hole, just at the very edge. Give us crawling animations and let us crawl down the walls, slowly draining stamina. Make an extraction fighter where you go in, give the mine attendant something of value, and come out with a tradable essence materials or anything else you find. The mine attendant works for a new BBEG one that wants to bring back Adal to it's former glory and is using the armors and clothing and weapons they aquire from us to stitch together an army. And at the end of each season an instance of the army is sent to everyone's game world. The army size would literally the determined by how how many actually articles of clothing or armor and weapons the attendant collected, each one being equipped to an individual soilder with an solid ethereal vessel making up the rest of the form. If more than 10% or more of the accumulated amount of ethereal soilders are killed then we go another season with no progress being made of Adal's reconstruction. If 10.01% or more of the soilders are killed then our savior failed to have enough time to rescue us from the army.

The savior is a character who always theorized that someone would want to use a niche essence power to build an army to one day try and rebuild Adal, so they've been training their body and power until they were needed again. (Idk how much time has past in all this, so i can't do the whole, "they trained for 1000 years," shtick, sorry)

If the Adal is ever fully revitalized the players then choose one of three sides, Pro New Adal, Anti New Adal, or Neutral with neutrals being pestered with random visits from pro or anti npcs with propositions to goint their side. They slowly get more and more hostile in an attempt to force your decision. If you find them all off both sides leave you alone forever. Pro Adal get access to a library of essence research and crafting benches to make weapons and armor as well as schools that teach new fighting styles. Antis get access to a wide network of mini settlements spread in each area besides Adal. They don't belive in using any of Adal's methods of getting weapons and armors and powers so they seek inward for power, hunt beasts for armor made from their flesh and fur, and use special techniques to make weapons from nature. The inward power is elemental in nature and is slowly decided based on your overall style of combat during a tribal ceremony, more aggressive gives you fire, defensive gives you earth, more parrying gives you watter and more dodging gives you air. The grow beyond those base four, bust that's usually how it works out after the ceremony concludes... usually.

I hate how they have crafting tables under the coliseum but did nothing with them.

That's it, that's all I got. I was gonna give more ideas than just the mine one by my brain kept rambling. Hope you have a good day or night stranger.

There are giant bosses?

I finally became an absolver last night, technically this morning. I decided to see what the downfall update stuff was. It's a dungeon with a boss that's twice my size, pretty cool. But it got me thinking, why couldn't they let us get giant forms. That would have been so cool. I know it'll never happen but I wish Sloclap would come back to us. Please abandon the soccer game and just turn absolver into a live service, please. I need more powers, more moves, more absolver crack. It's addictive.

Absolver with avatar elements

Wouldn't it be interesting if becoming an absolver awakened a special internal essence one that slowly built upon itself as you leveled more and more. The resource could be used to expell elemental energies, fire, water, ice, lighting, earth, sand or metal with a technique similar to any of the currently acquired ones, only it needs a bit of a wined up before expelling the element. For example, an upper cut would launch the material up and on to the target, a low kick would lauch the material in a side forward spray along the ground, staining it with whatever was launched or a jab would simply lauch the material at high speeds towards the targets direction. All of the moves would project the materials slightly differently. Anti-internal energy armors could be made from harvesting the internal essence of another. Lets say, level 100 is when you reach absolver, so 200 would be when this new energy stops cultivating, whatever that ending about is at lvl 200, be it 50 or 500, that's the max your vessel can hold of the internal essence. That's it for the idea. That you for taking the time to read this and have a good day or night stranger. I love this game so much.

An idea for how this glorious game could have been so much more

I was uploading my gameplay to youtube when I remembered this idea as I was typing the title out. I don't feel like fixing it up for this post so I'm just gonna copy and paste the text I put in the video. Fuck, I wish sloclap didn't stop working on this beautiful game. It could have been so much more. The lore videos I've been watching have such good ideas and foundational material too.

There's a buildingish building with a giant red door in the background of that one place with all the water with the people on the wood dock things. That door could have led to a different place with new warriors, ones who left Adal before it's collapse, ones who sought a different form of power through the essence. And the only way to get their could have been becoming even greater than an absolver that granted you the power to form a type of solid material just under your feet, allowing you to "walk on water," maybe the dude that grants you the power once you reach the right heights is a Jesus like character. Going a more benevolent path grant you the power through his, while going a more malevolent path, aka, removing the mask of your defeated foes, to reach those higher heights, leads you to the same power, but it's granted by a Lucifer type figure who has other plans in the works.

That whole biblical mythos is, and probably will always be, stuck in me. It's so alluring. The abandoned son clawing at the creations of his father in an attempts for some level of affection and understand while trying to make their view points known to all in hopes of making existence more free, and fun and spicy. All while dipping in and out of floods of temptations, oh so sweet sweet temptations.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. Whoever you are, have a good day or night.

Nibble tank

Personally, I think it would be cool if they increase the level cap 3x and let you have heavy armor, with such a reduced weight through rings, gems and carry capacity, that you end up as a dashing tank... dasha tank. But that would also mean your other stats wouldn't be nearly as high as they could be.

Anti-GTA mechanics

What I mean is, beyond just you, would NPCs have anti theft tech on their vehicles? Like harder to pick car door locks, bullet proof glass so you can't break the windows in. If we can invade homes, will we, and NPCs too, be able to have more advances locks and/or multiple locks. If we can own stores and laundromat and clubs and auto shops in the world, will we be able to hire security for them, and safes? I keep thinking about how they hired on the gta role play dudes aren't while ago. What if we could choose occupations and actively do our respective jobs in the online worlds. Personally, I'd be a super currupt cop. Would definitely make things interesting. Plus it would be fun to play both sides. Get players locked up or extort em a bit to get what I want. This devolved away from what I originally wrote about, sorry

I need help understanding something

So, I'm assuming in that red tented area that the flying bat looking things came out of is the rest of the game. I feel like I already know the answer is yes, but I don't feel comfy sitting in this unknowing pool of curiosity. For now, the end game is the daily and weekly quests plus the pestilence areas, then they'll update with the rest of the game while wiping our progress thus far. Correct? Also, just wanna note, I am loving this game. Kinda lost on the story but I doesn't bother me much, the cut scenes looks great and the art is so weird and detailed. Really cool game.

So I just saw a post about lightning benders and how it's common knowledge and it gots me brain thinking.

Why aren't there chiblockers teaching everyone how to block chi, especially to non benders? Also, why even have a police force if most people can bend plus the ability for everyone to learn to chi block. Where tf is Ty Lee at anyways? Also, can lightning generators lower the output of their bolts? Like, couldn't they essentially taze someone? And what i meant by no need to bending cops is water benders could carry around water sacks and freeze their attacker, earth benders could simply trap their feet or put them in a rock cage of sorts, and fire benders could light someone's clothes of fire then run away, or, ya know, burn them alive, but that's a bit much. Das it, have a good day strangers.

Needed for characters in the title to post. Weird but go off I guess

So I'm not sure if this truly belongs in this one or the Witch Hat Atelier sub, so I shall post it in both.

As we all know, this world's magic system is incredibly cool and interesting. What I picture in me brainy brain is either a bare, untouched open world, or could be set in modern day, where this is the magic system, or something using all of it's properties at least. I think the modern day versions would be more interesting though. I see as originally being single player, with everyone having their own mini version of a mini city surrounded by miles upon miles of bare land. Then the end of a main story thingy leads you to a portal at the edge of the world, one that allows authorized, or influential enough, people to come and go. Or in other words, the bridge to bring together the separated players and their ideas. Such interestingly chaotic events can come about. I have not started reading the manga yet, only keeping up the anime as of now, but I do wonder if having a late blooming parasitic type spell is possible. Is there any way for a witch to add a timer for for how long a spell should wait to activate once the circle is closed? Is there a way to add conditions that should be met for a spell to activate even if the circle is closed? I don't think it's possible with what I've seen so far but idk, I may be wrong. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hopes you hope you have a good day or night fellow internet strangers.
