Is parrying just high-risk-no-reward unless you're built around it?

Enemies are so fast and have so much poise that it's likely you get one safe hit in before they restart their combo, and it's also unlikely going for another hit will interrupt their combo, which you will then soak to the face.

I've played a couple characters up to lvl ~20 and it's almost always better to just dodge and reposition. I guess you could gear your whole character around on-parry and on-stagger but seems way more effective to just do anything else lol

So do we think it's delayed?

October is about six weeks out and I've heard nothing about an actual date or the supposed class system test, which seems like a pretty big deal since it's a massive shakeup of the gameplay this close to launch.

I have faith in Moon to do good work, but this just kinda seems off imo. Would've expected another Wicked Inside and for the test to already be underway by now if they were actually interested in applying any feedback from it.

Wicked On iOS?

Thomas Mahler posted this picture on X and said “it’s a start 👍🏼😂”

It was clarified in the comments that he’s trying to see if it works on iOS.

I’ve been getting after this game the last two weeks.

Am I missing something in the crucible? I’ve sent 50 runs without the tarnished wand or a jade ring. Game is done, all quests are completed. I can clear it without issue. I just want to confirm that these drops are still a thing, and I’m not chasing builds from six months ago. Thank you for any help or clarification! Looking forward to the full game realize in october!

Crucible runs seem harder after leveling up

When I first started, I had would usually get about 10 or so rooms in without too much struggle. Now that I've leveled up a bunch, I can't seem to consistently get to the merchant guy anymore. Those witches that now spawn absolutely kick my ass because every time I aggro one enemy, it also aggros the three others ones near. Should I just leave the crucible be for now? I really want to unique weapons, and apparently they show up in here.

The small combat circle - Focus?

So I noticed when you're in combat there's a small circle that appears next to your character that shows their health and stamina. Is there a way to have it show your focus as well?

I find myself having to look to the top-left to see where I'm at on Focus, which takes my eyes of the battle for a split second, but that could make a difference. Also, it would seem the purpose of the small circle would be to avoid having to look away from combat so it would make sense that I'm missing something there.

How exactly does Enchantment Power increased by X% if it’s the only elemental gem work?

I’m trying to make an Ice Mage build, and I have some Ice Damage enchantments on my armor and staff. All my armor and staff are blue rarity without any gems. I found this gem and saw some YouTube videos from about 6 months ago where someone talked about this type of gem. In the comments, someone said that something had been fixed, but I’m still confused about how it works.

If I put this gem into just my body armor, will it increase the enchantment power only for the three stats on my chest armor, or will it increase the power of all enchantments on all my armor and weapon?

Why does it say “if it’s the ONLY elemental gem,” as if I can put more gems into this BLUE body armor?

If I put four similar gems into my chest, helmet, pants, and boots, will the 20% × 4 bonus stack? Or will it be considered NOT the only elemental gem in my build?

I am so confused.

Or is this description specifically meant for Common gear, where you can have up to 4 gem slots?

Can’t believe I waited so long to buy this game

Not typically a Soulslike player, I suck at them. I downloaded on Thursday, already 13 hours in. Absolutely incredible.

I wanna play this game but have some questions

How is the coop feature ? Will i be missing any form of content by playing it alone ? Also can a friend still join me even if im already progressed through the game ?
what’s the appeal of the game ? Is it the exploration or combat or builds or the coop aspect ? And finally is it better to wait for version 1.0 or play it now ?

Absolutely loving this game

My friend and I have been playing co op the whole game, we just finished all the content available in early access last night.
It’s incredible that it’s been in my steam library since January and I finally played it, it’s exactly the game I’ve been looking for the last 10 years.
Hoping 1.0 class overhaul doesn’t kill my fire mage build but I’ll adapt even if it does.
I didn’t even realize it was still early access until 30 hours in when someone told us about the 1.0 wipe, only bug I’ve encounter is the Ui inventory cursor disappearing sometimes but going back to main menu fixes it. Game is already more polished than most AAA launches lately and absolutely looks great, I really wasn’t expecting the cutscenes to be such high quality either.

Game worth playing before 1.0?

NoRestForTheWicked is going to leave early access somewhere in october, is it worth playing before then or should I wait?

I will buy the game at its current discount before the price inflation of full release but heard all progress gets reset and its going to feel completely different.

some feedback for the devs

i really love wicked. But i have 2 points to critique:

  1. IMO the sprint run should be the normal run tempo when u move your L stick. My thumb is hurting after a few hours of playing because the default is basically always to run with the sprint button B ... to walk slow u could just slightly move your L stick.

  2. when youre at the enchantress who can infuse runes and stuff : a small icon on every armor peace you are currently wearing.

Is there a limit to the number of map markers?

Random thought that came to mind since I've been farming copper and pine. Just asking here since I can't play atm and can't seem to find any recent info.
