I don't know about you guys, but if NRFTW becomes even more successful than it already is, I’d love to see a buildable set of the entire Isola Sacra for my room—complete with all the zones, NPCs, bosses, and everything else.
I'm playing with a blood-rusted sword strength build, with electricity on it, but i'm thinking about using eletricity with bow and flame in sword. Is it good?

Hey everybody! Started playing this wonderful game two months ago, already have more than 100 hours into the game and love many aspects of it.
As I love playing different combat styles I already have 4 characters that I play solo or with some friends. One of them is a fire mage, that I play with a wand (fused coronet) and a blanket shield that I upgraded with all around useful gems.
Recently, I played with a friend that is doing an ice mage and I want to help him craft some gear to improve his build. He is currently using a staff (endless winter) with good facets and he already has some runes he enjoys.
But he is missing out on the extra stats that a shield can give, so I was wondering what are the benefits of having a staff versus a wand + a shield? Given that both weapon types have access to the same runes and that their physical damage is roughly equivalent, why would a caster use a staff? Is it for the move-set and to play more battle mage oriented?

When Primus Bainbridge and Speaker Lucian are talking up on the ledge in the Nameless Pass, there’s a really interesting pause in the dialogue right before the Primus gets thrown into the gorge.
He begs, "Please... I am a servant of the King!" and then there’s about five seconds of dead air before he says, "...Curse your God. The fire awaits us both." -- Then he's thrown into the fire.
That pause feels almost too long to be accidental. Maybe I'm crazy. It makes me wonder if Moon Studios intentionally cut or hid a line from the Speaker there so they wouldn't spoil too much of the plot this early on.
...It would make total sense if the Speaker responded to Bainbridge's plea ("I am a servant of the King!) with something like, "...And I am a servant of the Born God!"—which is what prompts the Primus to curse his God right after.
Personally, I’m firmly in the camp that Seline is going to end up being the main villain. I think she’s either the catalyst for the Pestilence spreading (I mean, she kind of is anyways with the Breach) or will eventually merge with it to become the Born God itself (rather than her character having a classic redemption arc).
Did anyone else notice that awkward gap in the scene? Do you think it's intentionally omitted dialogue, or just a dramatic transition that I am overthinking in the current build?

I like build crafting but not “my numbers went up” as much as elements interacting to produce gameplay that feels unique… is that what’s happening here?

Hello, I just saw the game on sale and it was on my wishlist for a while. Do you think the game is worth buying and playing through right now or should I just wait the 1.0 to get it ?

I've only summoned once and it was in the Nameless Pass. Fought one other boss previously but this was just after the campaign so I guess it was an auto-summon by the game and the boss was in The Shallows.
My 2nd character (ice mage) just hit level 30 so just wondering if I should play with this build a bit more and farm more stuff or if I should start on a new build. Thanks!
I bought on steamdeck and I wanted to check the game on 1080p on a monitor, but no matter the settings, this is the only game in the library that doesn't go to 1080p. How? Why? I tried modifying settings on steamdeck, forcing to 1080, Unckeck "apply to internal monitor". Also tried Launch option SteamDeck=0 %command% as to not detect as a handheld, no use.
Any ideas?
I just bought the game on steam and am enjoying it. I have two questions...Is there away to make the areas more bright because starting out it seems pitch black in the area underground i dont want it to look washed out and crank the gamma . I havent made it to Sacrement yet. Also are using mods discouraged?
I was originally planning on playing when 1.0 launches on PS5 next year, but then my time in the steam machine queue came and I decided to take the plunge. I couldn't find anything about how the game runs on it, can anyone provide any info?
The second Crucible looks like it has already been largely built, but it still is not available through normal gameplay. That felt like a shame, so I made a mod to unlock it and recorded a full Boss Rush run. The YouTube video linked above shows it in action. Spoiler warning: it includes the hidden boss Broken Vow.
The run has nine floors: seven boss encounters, a checkpoint, and a final reward room. This is a fan-made unlock, not an official release.

i was wondering if, since u can just change all the perks on any weapon or armor, if the armor sets are just esthetics and u can have pretty much every perk on every armor of the same group (leather, cotton, plate)
i know theres a difference between groups, but what about armors in the same one?
is there a way to check which perks are available on each armor without rerolling?
how do i do a new game? do i have to destroy my world? i want to start from 0 with a new character
