[SPOILERS] Cut dialogue in the Nameless Pass scene?

Warning: Spoilers for Early Access story content ahead.

When Primus Bainbridge and Speaker Lucian are talking up on the ledge in the Nameless Pass, there’s a really interesting pause in the dialogue right before the Primus gets thrown into the gorge.

He begs, "Please... I am a servant of the King!" and then there’s about five seconds of dead air before he says, "...Curse your God. The fire awaits us both." -- Then he's thrown into the fire.

That pause feels almost too long to be accidental. Maybe I'm crazy. It makes me wonder if Moon Studios intentionally cut or hid a line from the Speaker there so they wouldn't spoil too much of the plot this early on.

...It would make total sense if the Speaker responded to Bainbridge's plea ("I am a servant of the King!) with something like, "...And I am a servant of the Born God!"—which is what prompts the Primus to curse his God right after.

Personally, I’m firmly in the camp that Seline is going to end up being the main villain. I think she’s either the catalyst for the Pestilence spreading (I mean, she kind of is anyways with the Breach) or will eventually merge with it to become the Born God itself (rather than her character having a classic redemption arc).

Did anyone else notice that awkward gap in the scene? Do you think it's intentionally omitted dialogue, or just a dramatic transition that I am overthinking in the current build?

Thanks!!!

Double Date and Romantic Date Ideas

Hi all,

About a month ago, my wife and I (in our 40s, married for 15 years) had a turning point conversation about intimacy and emotional disconnection. She has been feeling emotionally disconnected from me, and since then, I realized I had been depressed and struggling with work-life balance. I was a "work-first" guy who never said no, which cost me in my marriage and time with my kids.

Since that talk, I’ve broken the cycle. I’ve established real boundaries at work, I’m present for all the family milestones, I've been present and fun as a husband and dad, and I’ve been doing the deep, hard work of shedding my defensiveness and replacing it with curiosity and good will. I have grieved the things I have messed up. I have paid attention to when I feel defensive. I have also been making a lot of bids for reconnection and good will by doing kind things, generous things, and things that show I am genuinely trying to work towards a place where we can repair some of the resentments that are present due to my workaholism and neglect of our marriage.

I recognize that she has resentments towards me for saying no to so many things throughout our marriage because I was worried about the cost or the time away from work. So, I am working to replace that negative sentiment with good will, bids for emotional connection, and a new narrative about who I am moving forward (a present and caring husband who puts his wife first, a dad who spends more time with the kids, someone who isn't living to work but is instead working to live, and someone who IS FUN). I feel in my heart of hearts that this has made a difference. We have committed to doing therapy together to work towards repair and better communication.

We went on a double date recently, and it was incredible. She was close, bubbly, and warm. It felt like we were dating in our 20s again. I want to keep this going, but I’m mindful of not making intimacy feel transactional. I just want us to have fun and continue building that bridge. I want her to feel safe and like she can share with me.

Double Date Ideas: We enjoyed a casual brewery/minigolf outing recently with friends. What are some other low-pressure, fun group activities? What might you suggest?

Fancy Date Ideas: I want to pull out all the stops for an all-out romantic night. I want to do a super fancy dinner where we get dressed up and make it a night to remember. This will be just the two of us.

I have a big list already, but I want to add some more ideas to it. What ideas might you suggest?

DTS Etiquette

I created a travel authorization in DTS back in April. This involves international travel for a TDY at the beginning of July. I have approved orders, have booked plane tickets through DTS, but had to book off base lodging manually. I have a letter of non-availability and confirmation of lodging off base that is within the proper rate. There wasn't anything available on base. Kind of a pain.

I'm a month out and there hasn't been any movement with my authorization. It's stuck at submitted (not CTO submit.)

Is it reasonable/appropriate to just start going down the AO list on the routing chain and making calls/ sending emails to figure what is happening?

I'm about 20 business days out from travel. I wouldn't normally be alarmed, but this is my first international TDY and I am aware that if an authorization is not finalized within 72 hours of travel, plane tickets will be canceled and the reservation will be lost.

What would you do?

Thanks!

Travel authorization question

Greetings! I'm looking for some advice here before I escalate things a bit.

I'm an IMA. I'm doing my first TDY overseas. I booked my flight tickets back in April. I have a confirmation number, but of course the tickets haven't been purchased because I was informed they generally aren't purchased until 3 days or so before a TDY in order so the member doesn't accrue a credit card balance like a month or so before their TDY. I had to book lodging off base because nothing was available on base. I uploaded a confirmation and letter of non availability to DTS. Everything has been submitted, but it has not been approved yet...

My TDY begins right after the 4th of July. How long do y'all think is a reasonable amount of time for me to wait for the authorization to be approved? Right now it's sitting as submitted /signed by me.. but there hasn't been any movement in over a week.

I'm just anxious that some issue might arise at the last minute that requires me to scramble and resubmit the authorization so that my tickets get taken care of.

Or is it not going to be approved until 3 days before the flight? What has your experience been? Looking for some guidance/ assurance.

Thanks!

Who isgoing to be the big bad?

Based on the new trailer, I think the Madrigal is going to be the big bad... That last shot of her looking crazy in the eyes... What do you think?

So how dead do you think BV is going to be in 3.29?

Do you think it's going to be completely removed from the game?

Do you think it will remain viable with giga investment?

Or will the skill simply no longer benefit from the current interactions?

I personally think GGG is going to Nerf it into the ground so that it basically ends up in the pile of unusable skills, but that's just me. How about you?

Stay sane, exiles!
