this is the average shit i have to deal with when trying to pick the player to cover the through pass, just spastic selecting every player but the one i need (luckily he didn't pass the ball)
so what setting do toggle for player switching?

i was wondering if, since u can just change all the perks on any weapon or armor, if the armor sets are just esthetics and u can have pretty much every perk on every armor of the same group (leather, cotton, plate)
i know theres a difference between groups, but what about armors in the same one?
is there a way to check which perks are available on each armor without rerolling?
Hello everyone, just joined the /r so please dont be mad if that have been asked a thousands of time already-
im playing NR with a bunch of friends, we had a 4-run in hard mode which has been kinda easy overall, struggled a little in the beginning but as soon as we got our builds it went pretty smooth.
different thing is in another server, with a lower diff, on a duo run with another friend, who is also "better" in terms of gameplay and understanding of every stat.
we got everything done without much trouble on main questline, but we got stuck at the mission where it says to "wait something to happen at the crucible".
we go straight ahead to the Knight, no big issues in any level, we also clear the phase 1 fast but then we just cannot make it through the second one.
he plays wand and im going with falstead's fury, both maxed out, we go full damage or resistance with echoes, we time each other game-style perfectly, but we just cant stand this big boy.
is there a way to practice his moveset without having to do all the crucible every time?
we feel what we are lacking is just good timing on his moves, and we cant figure out how to try it since hes basically one-shotting us.
doing it as a 4-man is kinda cheese, but this duo run is driving me crazy.
if u have any suggestion please let me know, we looking forward to complete it but we keep on losing without even doing much damage
from this upcoming week a big wave of even bigger potential retirements is gonna hit me so hard i cant even imagine what is going to happen next
This guys and gals have been with me almost since the beginning, they are the true legends that made my team really competitive and losing them lowkey scares me
I didnt quite understand how the retirement works tho: does it affect stats? do they lose points? ive only had one retirement so far and i didnt really check the stats bc it was my first good striker that got benched by my man Casas, can someone please make it more clear?

i just played against this mono-brain cell guy who started spinning from kickoff and started emoting pretending he was good, and kept doing so for the whole game.
since spinning is not THAT much effective anymore, i regained the two goals he made at the start (sadly i clipped when he quit the game and it is exactly after second one) and made him rage quit before 60' on 6-2, but here's the thing:
the two goals were born not because i couldnt stop him or i dont know how to, as u can clearly see in the clip, i was just stressing out and wanting to quit myself bc i cannot see that shit anymore.
its the most boring thing ive ever seen in a videogame and it drives me to a stress level i dont even want to keep playing the match and look for another one.
this guy was also one of the worst spinners ive met so far so why keep on doing it? why dont just try to learn the game, play some proper football and have some real fun?
im not talking about Pep's Barca but try to put on 2 consecutive pass, move ur players, send em through spaces... i really dont get how ppl play like this and get fun
im all for fun, dont really care about results, im getting Elite1/KO every week since launch and i lowkey love this game, and its frustrating to see ppl ignore devs work to balance everything to just go down the wing and spin around with the same player
(first attack i did on second half was pure rage trolling, i could have shot a few times at least but wanted to make him feel the same stress i had and by the tackles he was doing i think he got it lol)

not really a rant, its just frustrating losing games bc u cant select the player u want to control or bs like this happens lol
like why in any universe i cannot switch the selected CB (i dont even know why it got selected) to one of the two players within 2mt from the ball
jokes aside, im liking A LOT the new passing system, its more rewarding and somehow easy to control once u understand it.
i like the new lighting too, less cartoonish, great job!

I don't know if anyone has ever talked about that or suggested it, but i think it could be really fun to have a regular 11v11 game, played by 5v5:
- every player picks 2 player from his roster
- GK might be random as now or picked by one of all the players in the team
- the captain select the scheme and every position has to be covered with the right role (to avoid having 7 ST per team)
- if u quit u have penalty time before queing again
- possibility to have something like championships instead of regular tournaments
might be a lite-pro club mode which could be nice, idk if it has been already suggested
This is going to be midway between a discussion and a rant, let me explain:
i'm playing this game almost daily, one hour at least, i'm quite decent in terms of playing "competitive", getting every week to KO, not really playing ranked after getting to 3, and that's exactly the point.
I don't play ranked anymore and i dont even try the KO because, for me, it's impossible to have fun.
When it comes down to win the match, u start seeing the well-known scheme, holding ball with L2, maybe a quick roll with R3, long through ball, rinse and repeat.
i only do eliminations because it's actually the only way to get decent rewards being f2p, but after completing elite all i play is quick games just to have some fun and play against players not sweating from their arse for the score, maybe trying some skills or just trying to play less like an arcade game.
first of all i want to ask (to high ranked players if possible) if you guys are actually having fun, i watch some streams from top ranked and the games look all the same so dont start yapping about the skill and techniques of top levels.
and second, do you think or wish there should be more options for playing? such as custom tournaments with rules set by players, story mode, solo leagues or whatever?
that being said, i'm super positive about the work the devs are doing, the game is kinda changing every week with patches on the gameplay and those little corrections, im just a little worried about its longevity for as it is and i want to know if its a shared opinion or it is just me
They sold it to us saying this game is free of scripts and metas, and that's true on a side.
The AI is not forcing any player to score as we see in EA FC, nor u keep on seeing thousands of teams made all by the same players.
But what happens when u reach a high rank, either in elimination or ranked, even tournaments?
Everything u play against is a spinner holding the ball on the edge of the box or at midfield just seconds before throwing a long pass through a never-defending defense.
How do u feel about that? Do u consider it a "script" or u just accept it?
I mean, if u want to play KO and that kind of s u MUST play like that, but to me it loses all the fun.
I feel like best part of the game is probably silver and gold elimination, where u can find actually good and skilled players which can hold ur high rated team with a 80ish.

i'm 100% sure i wasnt holding the button to let the cpu push the ball, also my CB (Ferraz) was going straight to his wing so idk, might be some mapping problem with my controller or some kind of new feature?

why defenders are so dumb if u r not controlling them?
for example, when u go pressing a wing with ur CB, ur RB doesnt give a sh about the opponents ST and he just starts walking around picking some cherries, same happens when opponent is holding ball with the sole and the striker cuts in, the CBs if not controlled are just looking the sun having a tea.
80% of the goals i take are for completely non-existing defenders AI
just won a game 6-4, guy wasnt playing first half and i was just doing some goals for challenges, he just said hello at game start then went afk.
He came back at like 60', Ive done some own goals, gave him a penalty last sec, saved it and thrown the ball in my goal again.
Counted as loss, like wtf
imagine last game on KO and that sh happens, is it a bug or some sort of cheating?
