How is academic pressure for Mtech RA in Mechanical Design Engineering, and how are the placements?

Well, as the whole counselling session is coming to an end, I thought I'd share my journey

I have a gate score of 595 in PI paper . I am a general candidate. I won't say it was a great journey,I definitely feel I could have done better, but what's done is done, and I've accepted it. I hope sharing my counselling journey helps future aspirants get an idea of how offers can change across the rounds.

I'll be joining Design Engineering (M.Tech RA) , the 3 year Mtech programme at IIT Bombay. Whether it was the best choice or not, I can't say. But for me, it felt like the right decision.

I got Mtech RA - the 3 yr mtech programme at IIT bombay , I chose this coz firt of all its IIT B and secondly its Design . But I am genuinely interested how the placements are there ? specially for RA ? if anyone has any statistics pls do share . like how much is avg and median LPA , what percentage gets placed etc

Hi , I am going for Mtech RA in design Engineering. Pls seniors suggest what kind of challenges you faced and how did you cope up . Also what is the present placement scenario and what the skills that should be learned. What kind of projects are to worked on . How often can anyone go home etc . If anyone specifically is from design RA pls guide me

I came to know that this course is 3 yr course . plus there is much research work for RA . If I get IIT B design(RA) wil that be worth ? what is average and median pacakge after completion ?

Guys what is the placement scenario of this course in RA category? As far as I know this is 3 yr course . Is there any less opportunity? Pls let me know . Also how much package is expected after completion?

Guys how is the course pressure and future scope of this ? Is there anything less for RA as compared to TA ? As RA is 3 yr course and TA is 2 yr course. Any knowledge about package?

Please suggest which one is good for production / manufacturing Mtech course ? I am considering placements . please suggest according to placements not only according to NIRF

Anyone got offer from IIT Bombay design Mtech (RA) . Pls respond only if u got RA not TA . I have seen none till now . Didn't they release RA offers yet? I am bit confused as I was interviewed for this .

I got 595 in PI paper (gen) . what can I expect till round 5 ??? I basically want manufacturing / industrial in old IITs . is it possible ??
