Mitski - 91106 personal response
For my short text I used Mitskis song “a burning hill” to reflect on how my anger towards a certain person and relying on them getting justice for me to move on lead to exhaustion. I think it’s pretty good but it does revolve around my experience of sexual assault. I never explicitly say I was sa’d I just pretty much say “this person hurt me and the unresolved anger I felt was pointless”.
Is it too personal? I don’t know if it seems like I’m trying to get pity points or anything. I was told to be more personal with my texts, so I’m not sure if this is inappropriate for school. I didn’t focus too much on the experience, more so the unresolved anger and later in my response I talk about learning to move on despite not getting the outcome I wanted.
