Would you rather upload your early, imperfect work and improve over time, or spend a few months learning privately and only start uploading once you can make something reasonably decent?

Obviously there’s a difference between something being imperfect and something being genuinely unwatchable. I’m not saying you should upload absolute garbage just for the sake of it.

I’m curious where you guys draw that line.

I was wondering what's the best way to share the music I make for free, so anyone who likes one of my beats can use it in their own videos? (or simply download them for listening)

I build songs on my bike while riding. Everything is fully improvised and made from scratch. In my videos, the music is mixed with the ambient sounds, but maybe someone likes one of the beats and wants to use it somewhere else (as an isolated soundtrack)

I don't care about making money from it. I'd rather have people enjoy the music and use it. My biggest concern is getting copyright claimed by my own beats if they start getting used around YouTube or other platforms..

What's the best way to approach this? Should I just say the beats are mine and ask people to credit me if they use them? I'm completely new to all the licensing/copyright stuff, so i'm a bit lost... My only goal is to let people use my beats for free while making sure I don't run into copyright issues with my own music later on.

Just curious how long did it take before YouTube actually started showing your videos to the right people ? Was it after a certain number of uploads or was it just random?

Started a new channel and got 2 videos up so far. I do beats while riding my ebike ( is kind of a portable music studio). Im still pretty new to live looping so its not about making insane beats but more about the whole experience.

The few views are mostly mine but I feel like once new people actually find the videos theyll be enjoyable to watch...

Just curious if anyone here had a similar start especially if you stuck to one niche from the beginning

Hi! I'm using Ableton Note Beta 2.1 with an iPad and an Akai MPK Mini MK4.

I'm trying to do those classic edm build ups where the drum roll starts at 1/4, then 1/8, 1/16, 1/32 before the drop.

Wanna know if everyone is just changing the Note Repeat division manually or maybe there a faster workflow (like maping the akai pressing some pads or keys)

I'm mainly trying to perform it live rather than drawing everything in afterwards.

Also, what groups or places would you recommend for a niche like this? Ari at Home, Marc Rebillet and Dom Whiting are probably the closest creators to what I'm trying to do, so I'm basically looking for the kind of audience that watches that stuff.

I wanted to ask the ones using Ableton Note (I'm currently on the beta 2.0 ) if you have any tips to speed up live looping.

I am learning to make beats from scratch as fast as possible during a live loop session, so I'm wondering if there's anything you do before you start or any workflow that saves time with less taps and menu diving.

I use an Akai mpk iv as a controller and ipad. I also use an Arturia MiniFuse with my speaker, mic and guitar connected to it.

Would love to hear how you have your setup or any little tricks you've found.

I wanted to see how Google AI would describe my channel to someone who had never heard of me.

What surprised me is that Google AI summary actually described my content pretty accurately (even tho my channel has just about a month since I posted my first video)

I basically ride around on my eBike making music with a little portable setup. I meet random people along the way and capture whatever fun moments happen.

Now I’m wondering:

Is this AI response personalized only for me because I’ve interacted with my own content? Or would someone on the other side of the world get a very similar description?

Has anyone here intentionally “trained” the AI search ecosystem by being consistent with channel descriptions, titles, captions, Reddit posts, website bios, etc.? and did it help Google understand your niche more precisely over time?

I’m still a small creator, but it made me realize that AI search might become another layer of discoverability beyond YouTube recommendations.

Curious if anyone has experimented with this.

I came across a post that suggested asking these 5 questions instead of just saying, "the algorithm didn't push my video."

1 Is this idea visual enough to be a video?

2 Does the title and thumbnail set the right expectation?

3 Will the first 30 seconds instantly confirm the click?

4 Does the payoff actually deliver on the promise?

5 Would someone want to watch another video after this one?

If you can answer yes to most of those, I guess we are making something that's easier for people to enjoy and easier for YouTube to figure out who to recommend it to.

I'm actually trying to test it with my new channel.

The idea is pretty simple: I ride my eBike around the Costa del Sol (south of Spain) with a portable music studio strapped to it, making beats outside, get people reactions, and invite random strangers to sing or rap over them. I'm a big fan of Ari at Home, so that's definitely been an inspiration.

I'm curious if this is actually how channels build an audience over time, where each upload gives YouTube more data to find people who are genuinely into that type of content.
