Not usually interested by Tactical RPG games, but FE:FW is something else

As FF fan, I played Final Fantasy Tactics The Ivalice Chronicles last year. I can’t say that I enjoyed the game that much, I was frustrated by some farm mecanics, like you need to hit a ally to earn some XP, or your archer can’t shoot the ennemy if another unit is in front of him. Yeah, FF Tactics is more realistic, and the lore is great, but i was frustrated to play the same battle over again just to farm XP with my units.

Fire Emblem Fortune’s Weave is more accessible in my opinion, that what I felt so far. I heard act 2 is way more difficult, but with the four routes, i think the game gave me enough time to prepare for the remaining of the story. And if it’s too difficult, well, I already had a great time with it.

I finished Leda 1st part, and now playing with Cai as 2nd character. Story and characters are really good so far, while narration is probably better if you switch more frequently between the 4 Lords.

Also, music is so good. Probably one of my favorite OST ever with some Sonic games, Final Fantasy in general and Clair Obscur last year.

I was hesitant to buy the game, but the more I saw from him, the more I was interested. Almost 60 hours later, I can say it was a good decision !

1st Splatoon game, and it’s so much fun

I’m impressed by how smooth the gameplay is. Despite a lot of action on the screen, the action is easy to read, the feeling of each weapon and items is great. Great options to build your own playstyle. My 1st Splatoon ever, and after 4 hours of gameplay, i have a blast so far !

What is your favorite FF XIII memory ?

Final Fantasy XIII holds a very place in my heart. I loved that trilogy, especially Lightning that is still one of my favorite character ever.

Every CGI cutscenes in these games were amazing, from the train to the very end of Lightning Returns. The music throughout the trilogy is also incredible (the signature on my FF XIII game is from Masashi Hamauzu, the composer of the game).

As for my own personal memory with these games, i would say :

- I had a lot of issue to beat Barthandelus for the 1st time. I had to farm a lot to finally beat him, I was relief. I wasn’t familiar with JRPG, so these boss fights were a little bit difficult for me.
- The ending of XIII-2 shocked me, won’t say anything more if someone wants to play it one day.
- The secret dungeon of Lightning Returns, when time continues to pass during fights was too difficult for me, i never finished it (still, i finished the main game). Will probably try it another time if we have a remastered of the trilogy one day.

What about you ?

I love how Hamaguchi shares so many things with us

Since the official reveal, we have some interviews from Naoki Hamaguchi, and it’s so cool to have all of this details from him.

It’s almost like it was a torture for him to keep of all this in secret, because he wants that the fans enjoys the game as much as they have fun and pleasure to develop it.

I had the same feeling with the promotion of Rebirth. They did something that I thought it was impossible. And I felt like we reached something that we couldn’t top with the 3rd game, but his confidence is so amazing at every interview, and everything we saw at Summer Game Fest proved that we’re in for a incredible last ride.

Thank you Hamaguchi-san and all of the staff at Square Enix. I can’t wait to play it !
