I have several functions to scrap classifieds web pages with Selenium. For some of them I noticed that at some point the function finds no ada but also doesn‘t detect the element corresponding to a search without results. I assume this means the web is blocking my scraper.

I tried implementing a loop-count with an increasing time wait up to 3 minutes between attempts with no success.

What methods do you use to avoid this?

I’m running headless, in case that matters.

Hello. The main classifieds web in my country only performs word search for the ad titles. I have a script that works for this, but for some very specific cases I would like to search within the ad text/description (without entering a search term for the title). Is this generally possible?

I normally use Selenium for my scraping projects, but I would be open to try any other tools.

Boas!

Moitas grazas!

I’m a 37yo 89kg (196lbs) male and I see absolutely no evolution in my bench press. On average I’m working out 3 times a week and generally I’m almost every exercise I’m weekly increasing the weight, even if slightly.

This is not the case for bench press, where I’ve been stuck at just 15kg (33lbs) -plus whatever the bar weights- for months. I’ve read a lot about technique and I don’t feel any shoulder pain; I think I’m doing it the right way but I just don’t have the strength to lift heavier.

Have anyone had this problem at such a low weight?

I currently live in Leipzig but will be moving soon to Berlin due to a new job. I would be glad to exchange flats with someone moving in the opposite direction, or just get an available flat in Berlin of course.

Aside from the usual online portals, are there Telegram groups (or anything similar) where I could look for flats or exchange options?

I would prefer the Tausch option, but given the market situation I’d be happy with anything.

Thank you in advance!

I’ve seen Bebua and Tsomi, but they seem more focused on food and I’m looking for something like a wine bar where they have this type of wine, among others. Any suggestions? Thank you!

Hi. I recently moved to Berlin (from Leipzig) and I would appreciate any recommendation for nice venues to check out their concerts regularly. Specially not too big venues with a well curated program of any genre, from metal to electronic, experimental, avant-garde or dark-folk. If you know Leipzig, an example of what I mean could be UT Connewitz.

Thabk you!

PD: I would also appreciate similar recommendations for Kinos.

I just install one of this common cheap Chinese diesel heaters on my T4. It seems to work fine (haven’t tested it deeply yet), but I noticed that the screen does not turn off even when the heater is off. Is it supposed to go off on itself after some time? I didn’t use the heater, so it is not due to the cool down process.

The last company at which I worked closed down some months ago due to insolvency. Now I got a new job and among the documents they require from me is an Arbeitzeugnis from my last employer.

What is the right thing to do?
