Phlebotomy

If I try to get a job at the hospital as a phlebotomist will they train me and give me my license or do I have to get it from somewhere else? Does uihc have programs for that that are relatively quick to take aka less than 4 weeks

Sorority life as a POC

What is sorority life like for people of color? I’ve noticed doing research on the sororities, the main ones, I didn’t see a single non white person. Why is that?

UIUC jobs

As a student, how can you get a job as a pct/pca? What website, portal, or resource do you have to use? Are there any good programs to get other licenses (relatively short like phlebotomy and such) so you can work a job at the hospital to get patient care hours?
Is it hard or relatively easy to get a job as student, with them having to understand your school schedule/ study time. Like can you get hired prn? Also do u need a lot of experience?
Any experienced student your Insight is appreciated!

Language requirement (Korean)

I took 2 years of Spanish and am wondering what my options are to get my language requirement fulfilled. I’m thinking about taking Korean. Does anybody have experience with taking Korean or advice about possibly easier languages.

Anxiety about college and panic attacks

18F and heading to college soon. I’m having a lot of anxiety about my major and career I’ve chosen. My worrying and panic attack (mostly panic attacks) are mostly isolated at night when I’m about to go to sleep. As I try to drift off in my fake scenarios I circle back to my anxious thoughts. I try to tell myself “no change of topic” and try to think about something else but it circles back. I end up getting anxiety attacks at that point. I’ve been off my everyday Prozac for about a year after being on them for 2. I thought I was doing good but I don’t think so anymore. I asked my provider to switch to a as needed and got buspar. I don’t like the medication and did not feel like it works for me and expressed that but only got a “take two then”. Advice from those who have gone through a similar situation.
