Curious if this is in the ballpark for what you guys are seeing. I am in an area with one VW dealer and the next closest is a 5 hour drive. I’m wondering if it’s worth shopping around or not. Thanks!
Looking at a new 2026 Subaru Outback Limited with an MSRP of $44,287. Dealer agreed to $39,000 before tax/title/fees, about 12% off MSRP, with 0.9% financing for 48 months.
They agreed to $39k pretty quickly after initially telling me they were already at invoice around $41,600. I’ve also noticed quite a few 2026 Outbacks sitting on dealer lots. Is there a reason these aren’t moving as quickly? Anything about the 2026 redesign I should know that would explain why they were so willing to take almost 12% off MSRP?
I’ve never owned a Subaru before, so apologies if I’m coming off as naive. Just trying to understand the market and make sure I’m not missing something.
